Hello-
The last push is on for the Christmas cards, and I have em all done. Now to get them into their envelopes. I am going to take my time with that...I have some sewing projects I need to get done in the next week in time for shipping so that will be my focus.
This card is visiting CAS Colors & Sketches, Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping.
I did take a bit of liberty with the sketch turning it to portrait vs landscape.
Anything goes.
Get ready for Christmas
Thanks for stopping by.
Hello-
I am popping in with a couple more cards, they are simple and quick. The first will be submitted to Peace on Earth Christmas and Tic Tac Toe.(left to right diagonal) The second card will go to Double D Challenges.
A very easy card, white heat embossed and some pink fresh clear iridescent drops added as ornaments.
This is very similar but with an added layer of gold mirror card, and the "dots" are pink fresh drops in gold.
Both of these cards will go in packages, as they probably won't play nice with the postal sorting machines.
Thanks much for stopping by.
Another day...another card or two. Hi there, I'm washing towels today along with a bit of cardmaking. Is Monday a popular laundry day for those not working a M-F work schedule? I remember when I used to go the the laundry mat years ago Monday's were the busiest day.
On to a more fun topic... I am still working away on those Christmas cards. This one is a bit more elaborate than I typically go just due to sheer volume of cards made. But it was another one of those ideas in my head...
Its a kind of lattice card. The criss-cross pieces fold over a piece of poinsettia flocked vellum which was adhered to a blank card panel. I cut the poinsettia from wrapping paper adhered to another card panel and the sentiment is a pre-made piece from Pinkfresh. With some practice I might get those pieces even...but then again I like quirky.
This will visit the As You See it gallery. They have a lovely Christmas theme and moodboard.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.
Hello again.
I am back in my crafty space on a Sunday no less. I am usually glued to the football games, but they haven't yet started. I got a good nights sleep last night, and felt like working on the 12 cards I yet need for my Christmas Card List.
When I saw the colors at Color Hues I knew what I wanted to try...of course the rub is does it match the pic in my head once its done. Today...YES! I am also sending this to Triple B, because it has a bird and I don't often make bird cards.
I used SSS's partridge in a pear tree die, it was a freebie a week or 10 days ago with a special code. I decided why not and picked up another stamp set I had been wanting. I have to say it die cuts quite easily even out of mirror cardstock.
So 4 more done for my stash and 8 to go.
Thnaks so much for stopping by!
Hello-
Its been a while since I posted. And it was hard to get back into the groove. I still need to make Christmas cards, but thought I'd throw in a Thanksgiving card today. As I looked out my window the sun was coming over the house and a golden glow hit the trees in back...
So leaves and Thanksgiving are my starting points for this card. I cut several large leaves from the Greetery in white and pounced some ink on. sss Schoolhouse red, sss orange peel, and sss green leaf.
To blend it all together and add that golden light I added sss duckling at the end.
I cut and inked up 4 leaves, and decorated the front leaving room for my SU die cut sentiment.
The card will be visiting galleries for Just Us Girls, Just Add Ink, and Fourseasons Fall.
On a personal note---
Hubs and I visited my Dad and family in Utah for a few weeks in October. This time we did not drive across the country but flew instead. For me this was a big step. Covid changed me from the fearless lets do it to a very cautious person. The thought of flying confined with so many other people gave me concerns. However, I knew my knees would not be happy cramped for 4 days of car travel. I did splurge and get seating at the very front of the flight. Much more leg room, and wider seats made it easier for me to maneuver around. An added bonus, I didn't feel all the people around us. Although the flight was full and I saw everyone getting on the plane I did not freak out! YAY.
In about 4 hours we were in Salt Lake. We had a few days of sight seeing, a birthday party, a poker tournament with my Dad along with some leaf peeping. Then I got sick...not covid...but it was a respiratory virus. I was in bed a couple of days and taking it easy a few more. But that left time to hang out and play with the dog, and pet the cats even Digger who is a one man cat. Digger allowed pets, a first time in 10 years.
Fortunately hubs didn't get sick until after we got home; this was a first as he usually gets sick west of the Mississippi and then shares it with me. I am looking forward to our next flight out...even though I can now never sit back in economy again. I've been spoiled...will have to watch for another bargain.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Greetings...
I have a Halloween card to share at Tic Tac Toe using the lower left to upper right diagonal, matching envelope, patterned paper, holiday. I am also submitting this to Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge, the web was my inspiration.
The papers, sentiment, gem and die pieces come from Stampin Up. I grabbed the die set from the clearance section, recently. It also has an arched cat silhouette. I inked up the panel behind the house using HA inks in orange soda and butter bar.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi There-
I have a slew of birthday cards to make before years' end. Two of the gals love gnomes, so I pulled out a couple of gnome stamps that I love. I combined some quick Copic coloring with some SU colored cardbases with matching envies and put these together:
My sentiments are a bit wonky, but gnomes...should work. The gnome stamps are from Stamping Bella. Sentiments are Ellen Hutson.
Thanks much for stopping by.
Hello-
My Friday night date is in my crafty space tonight. I recently got a witch stamp from a friend and I thought it would be fun to use it as the object for a thank you card. The included sentiment works perfectly for this. My design inspiration comes from Tic Tac Toe...I chose the left to right diagonal...creepy, green and patterned paper.
The paper is from SU, the stamps from Trinity stamps. Inks were distress in mowed lawn, pine needles and black soot. I used a large stencil to mask the circle, and then when I took it away it seemed a bit too sterile and white so I added some green "mist".
Thanks for visiting.
Hello-
Its been a bit. I seem to have trouble getting to my craft room to create. No mojo at all...even though I am seeing such lovely creations from all my bloggy friends.
I did get excited about the Peace on Earth challenge, and got several versions of this card made.
One can almost see the glittery shine of the side pieces on this card along with the dark blue. Both are CTMH glitter tapes. The stamp is from Stampin Up one of two scenes.
Thanks for visiting.
Hello-
I feel like I completely missed out making summery cards...oh well I do love fall colors.
This card will visit the following galleries:
Stamping Sensations, Four Seasons, and Triple B. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the image is from my box of stuff sent to me and I have no idea of the manufacturer.
Thanks for visiting.
Hey There...
Where is time rushing off to...how can it be a third of the way through September??? The month just started.
I have a card for a cat lover, its got a bit of stamping, some coloring and lots of die cutting. I'll be sending it to the galleries at Tic Tac Toe -center row, Challenge up Your Life - anything goes, AAA Birthday Game - Animals.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hey There-
The heat has kept me downstairs for a bit along with more TV binging. I went through Homeland, I am a lover of spy/political thriller novels, movies and tv so this was seat gluing for me. Now I am trying to go a bit slower through Billions. It has grabbed my attention. Pre-Season football has started and I had my first football nap of the season on Sunday...sleeping 1/2 way through the first quarter to the last 5 minutes of the fourth. But, I did manage to get a few cards made.
I have cards to share to these three challenges: Just Add Ink, Fourseasons, and AAA Birthday.
First up:
Next up is Four Seasons:
Four Seasons is anything goes.
And my third card goes to AAA Birthday:
AAA has anything goes as well
Thanks for visiting! Hope you are staying cool.
Hello-
AAA Birthday Game has an anything goes challenge. I played with a new SU (new to me -- its been out awhile) stamp set called Two Tone Flora. One of the easiest two step stamps I have played with.
I had a nice card with the florals clustered on the front. But it seemed to be missing something. I added enameled dots and there was just still to much white. So I inked blended a bit on the top and the bottom of the card...I love the "Frame" that gives.
Earlier this month a friend of hubs and his folks was celebrating a big birthday, and I made another custom card for my MIL to give to her. I do enjoy being able to make a special card. This one used a coverplate from The Greetery, dies from Stampin Up and a custom printed sentiment.
I am submitting this one as well.
Thanks so much for visiting.
