Hey Ghoulfriend

Hello and Happy Halloween for those of you who celebrate.  Hubs and I made up little packets of candy to set outside the door with a please take one sign for any kiddos out there seeking treats.  We won't be answering the door this year.

This year I sent this card to the crafty gals in my local group.  It features my most favorite Halloween die from Lil Inkers - Ghost Border. These are very quick cards to make so great for my local group of 10.

Not sure if I have ever shared this tip or not...but when embossing on dark card stock, I wait for the embossing to dry and then I use a microfiber cloth to wipe away the excess dust from the embossing buddy.  Pic below shows a before (left) and after (right).

Halloween Scene

 Happy Saturday.

I have a long list of things I want to get done today, so here is a quick post for a card inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenges.  I went with the left column (scene, pumpkin, scary).  This might be one of the first dies I bought years ago, it hasn't been out to play for a while so I had a go with it.

Thanks much for visiting! Enjoy your weekend.

Happy Halloween Cat

 Hi there -

I got a cute stamp in the mail from Peggy and I had to play with it right away. Its called Scaredy Cat from Sunny Studio. Its a small set with the cat image, a moon some stars and the sentiment.

First I used it for a card inspired by If You Give a Crafter a Cookie.  The challenge image is at the end of the post.

The image is colored with copics, the sentiment and stars are white heat embossed. The Circle panel is inked with  SSS Blue Violet ink, the paper is from Stampin Up as is the sliver/white ribbon.

Next up is a card inspired by Double D Challenges, their mood board is below.

The coverplate is from Mama Elephant, and the background was inked with Distress Oxide inks in carved pumpkin, spiced marmalade, and worn lipstick. The sentiment was white heat embossed.

And since the kitty is new to me I am adding both to Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Thanks so much for coming by to say Hi!

Happy Birthday

 Hey There -

One of the things I love most about making cards and blogging is making new friends.  This Birthday card is for Leslie, whom I met through the design team at Twofer Card Challenge.

We both like flowers and yellow, so I made a yellow fall bouquet for her card.  The blooms and sentiment are from Altenew.  After arranging the bouquet, I added some gold spritzing and some yellow gems.  The envelope and the interior is also decorated.

I am holding off on posting this as mail is a bit crazy now, and I'm not sure how long it will take for the card to arrive.  So this is posted after her special day.

Leslie hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Thanks all for visiting.

Happy Halloween

 Hello-

Those Halloween cards are calling.  This afternoon I had a video crafting session with Peggy and it always helps my mojo.

This card is inspired by Tic Tac Toe (bottom row) and Watercooler Wednesday Challenge (Halloween).  The stamp set is from Avery Elle and the designer paper is from Stampin Up.  Coloring was done with Copic's W1,3,5,7 YR24, 21, 07, E99, G99. Dots are also from Stampin Up.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Autumn Blessings

 Hello-

Still struggling with the mojo on a consistent basis but I better get moving if I want to send out any Halloween cards at all...

I plan to send out some Autumn cards which can arrive anytime between now and Thanksgiving, that lessens the pressure some.

This card is inspired by the colors at Just Us Girls.

I've used my favorite pumpkins from CTMH, a die from Penny Black, Hot Mama Ink from SSS, and a few darice sequins to add a bit of bling.  The pumpkins were colored with copics yr04, 07, 24, g99, e99, and the edges to blend better with the inking v04.

Thanks A Bunch

 Hello-

I am thrilled to be joining CAS on Friday as Guest Designer this week.  The prompt is Plaid.

I flipped through my pad of plaid papers from Stampin Up and found these fall yellows.  I wanted to keep the card light so I added a Pink Fresh Studios Floral square cut twice from white cardstock and stacked them for a bit more heft.

I wanted to frame it a bit so I left the plaid piece bigger and added two more layers around the plaid.  The sentiment comes from Sugar Pea Designs.

I would love to see your designs over at CAS on Friday.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.

Autumn

 Hello-

Tonight after watching football, I sat down to make a card which turned into two cards for two challenges each.

My first card was inspired by the Inky Paws Challenge (Colors) and AAA Cards (Design).

Newton is cozy in his pile of yellow, orange and purple leaves. There is also a halo of yellow inking around the image. The black sentiment is part of the set Newtons Autumn.

--------

My second card was inspired by Double D Challenges and Stamping Sensations.  The challenge at Double D is wreath and Stamping Sensations is Autumn Glory.

This wreath by Pretty Pink Posh is full of autumnal leaves, acorns, mushrooms and berries.

Twofer Card Challenge 32

Greetings-

Its the 10th of the month so another Twofer Card Challenge is going live today.  The topic is:

If you've been a frequent visitor to my blog, you know I often start with choosing my stamp, die or stencil.   This month I am going with Paper Smooches Botanicals 2.  I do not have a lot to choose from for Silhouettes.

In order to play by the challenge rules:

I sketch out two card ideas before putting the time and effort in to create my cards only to end up with two looking very much the same.  Here is my sketch for this month:

Below are my Twofers, both together and individually.

Thanks so very much for visiting....and I hope to see your Twofers in the Gallery.

Thankful

 Hello Again -

The challenge at Color Hues #3 is gold and cream.  I took out the Lace Leaf stamp set from Concord and Ninth.  I love the delicate look of the leaf and it will also be visiting Watercooler Wednesday -Anything Goes with a Feminine Twist.

The leaf and the sentiment were both heat embossed in gold on both the base and a separate piece of cream card stock. The leaf was cut with the matching die.  I drew a line at the top and bottom of the base with a gold gel pen.  The leaf was attached with foam tape.

Thanks so very much for visiting!

Pile of Fun

Happy Friday--there are still a few hours left.

Inspiration for completing the card comes from three challenges: Inky Paws, Festive Friday, and Freshly Made Sketches.

I sat down to make a card and started with a stamp form Newtons Nook called Autumn Newton, its from 2017 but I just got it this summer. I've already used a couple of the images on my calendar pages which you can find here and here

The colors from Inky Paws inspiration photo inspired my coloring. The sketch at Freshly Made sketches covered the design.  My choices from the list at Festive Friday - Cats, Embossing, lines (in my plaid piece).

Thanks so very much for visiting!

Thanks

 Hi Again...

Three more challenges got me going on another card tonight.  This card is visiting the galleries for:

Tic Tac Toe Challenge, Just Add Ink, and Freshly Made Sketches

I started with the sketch, the sentiment comes from Just add Ink and the elements come from Tic Tac Toe Challenge the top row specifically.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Thinking of You

 Hello-

I pulled out a new stamp set from Stampin Up and had a bit of play time.  I'll be sending this to two challenge galleries: Color Throwdown and Watercooler Wednesday.

I used a neutral brown for the tree and then orange, red and purple Tombow markers for the leaves and birdhouse.  All was mounted on a purple cardbase.

Thanks much for stopping by.
