Celebrate

 Hello-

Peggy gave me a darling handmade calendar this year...all gnomes, so I am not making one.  I wanted to have some sort of year long project, so I have started to collect online cards I see that I would love to CASE in some way or another, always adding my own touch to it.  So, here is the first one of the  year.

Anita made this card and it captured me right away.  Recently, Jeanne a similar card and it reminded me that I should give the colors and brushstrokes a try.  I always need a man card.

Supplies- Hero Arts Ink in Navy, Lawn Fawn ink in  Doe, SSS dies Celebrate and Etched Laurel Leaf and some random patterned paper from my piles of bits and pieces.

I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Thanks for visiting.

Deer

 Hello-

Since the crazy in our nations capitol seems to have died down and the inauguration has passed without another incident I am feeling less on edge. As a result my mood has lightened, my mojo seems to be coming back.

This sweet deer is from MFT and its hopping out of my NBUS bin and onto a card.  The embossing folder is SU's Woodland textured.

The card is visiting three challenges - Let's Squash It, Christmas Kickstart and of course NBUS.

Thanks so very much for stopping by.

Snowflake Joy

 Hey there-

Its a beautiful sunny day outside, not too cold in the mid 40's (F) and we might get some snow early next week.  So snowflakes were on my mind.

I've seen a lot of lovely cards with diecut snowflakes and a colored backer behind them in blogland. This is my version with some touches of black to add some depth.  This card is going to Challenge Up Your Life, Addicted to CAS and Addicted to Stamps and More. I made 3 so I am ahead of schedule this year! Lol.

The die is from Stampin Up, and the gold paper is from Michaels.  Thanks so much for visiting.

P.S. Gold foil is not fun to photograph when you are wearing black!

Flower Swag

I snuck away to my craft room for a few hours to play this morning.  I say snuck since I ignored laundry instead of hopping up to deal with it every 30 minutes or so.

You may have noticed that I stepped away from designing for Twofer Card Challenge, but I remain as Social Media poster.  I like that I can keep a hand in, but relax my schedule of cardmaking.

I have two cards today, they'll be visiting Twofer Card Challenge, CAS on Friday, NBUS and Color Hues.

As usual when I contemplate Twofer I pick my stamp, die or stencil first.  A new die that needed to make it out of its packaging was my choice of die for the cards.  The die is Flower Swag from SSS.

Next, I have to make a set of sketches -  if not I often make a VERY similar card...maybe changing up just the colors and the sentiment but not much the actual design of the card.

Together for Twofer

Going to CAS on Friday and NBUS
I cut the die twice, color was added to the white layer
and the black outline was placed on top.

Going to Color Hues and Nbus

Cut the edge die on the navy and the flower die on a piece of cream cardstock.
I chose to leave it as an outline and added cream colored gems to the round opening.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Winter Wishes

 Hello Makers-

I have a card today for CAS Mix Up Card challenge where Hilary is hosting and the theme is Splatters.

This cute penguin trio from Newton's Nook Designs were stamped, colored with copics, die cut and foam mounted onto the panel.  The panel was ink blended and splattered with both black and white inks.  Two die cut pieces were added to the top and bottom of the card to give a clean edge. The entire panel was die cut and mounted on a dark gray card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Birthday Tweet

 Hello-

The one unfortunate thing about taking a few weeks off from cardmaking is that getting back into the groove for me takes quite a long time.  No 15 minutes cards...they take hours for me to get into the hang of it.

I received some slimline dies for Christmas and when I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches I knew I had to play along. I am also submitting this one to Watercooler Wednesday.

I started with the cute MFT Winter Songbirds stamps and dies. I decided to color all my birds in muted shades and the scarves in feminine pink shades. I prepped the die cut panel with some broken china distress ink.  After stamping coloring and die cutting the whole set, I picked out my favorite little lady and some greenery and put together my scene in the lower left corner. I added some pink and lavender gems to the cluster and finished it with the birthday sentiment.  I used a coordinating color card base.

Thanks so very much for visiting.

Like You

 Hello 2021...

Hello crafters!

I really enjoyed my time away from my craft room for the past few weeks.  It gave me time to relax, make soups, bake cookies, watch schmaltzy holiday movies and nap at will. Hubs and I took several drives to view neighborhood light displays and stopped for pizza on the way home. We are obsessed with Chicken Taco pizza on a thin crust.  Its like a nacho pizza (thin crispy crust cut in squares), and we both like that its flavorful but not spicy.

Today's card is for Cozy Winter Theme for the challenge over at Inky Paws.

Thanks for visiting.
