May Altenew Inspiration Challenge

Hello

I got another card made before nap time, (my sleeping schedule seems to be normalizing again- yay!)

Altenew's May inspiration colors are aqua, teal and pink.  The graphic is posted below.

My friend Betty, sent me some Altenew die cut panels from the latest release so I used the negative and put a colored panel behind it. The aqua is in the bigger openings, and the teal in the smaller ones. On top are lots of pink Altenew flowers from the Adore You set. They were copic colored.

Thanks much for stopping by.

Thanks

Hello Crafty Friends -

A card finally.  I hope to make a few this afternoon - I have a busy week ahead and this might be my last chance for a bit.

I am heading out to visit my Dad later this week and attend my Godson's college graduation. Hubs and I will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary on Wednesday, and I detest packing.  So that leaves me only today to play while I get the laundry done.

I do have cards scheduled to post while I am away.

This card is for two challenges:

I took the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches, and the colors from Color Throwdown. The challenge icons appear at the end of this post.

My sentiment is from Stampin Up and the flower die is Paper Smooches.

Thanks very much for stopping by.

more on comments

ARRRGGGHHHH  this is all so frustrating.

My blog friend Michele of I Card Everyone  discovered and told me that I had become a no-reply blogger.  I was surprised but probably shouldn't have been. In my comment to her, I did not check the box for follow up comments. I was fearful that I would then get all the comments after mine on her blog emailed to me.

So as a test I added another comment with the box checked she got my comment via email  and I did begin getting her visitor's comments which posted after mine.

Unless you have a google account your options to post a comment are limited to as anonymous, which is horrid unless the poster includes their name in the comment so you know who it is --- or as name/url which requires the comment maker to add their name and url to post a comment...which I am sure will get old for that person very quickly.

I'll admit it, the comments are what makes blogging fun, interacting with those who comment.

I might get a card made today...after I stop pulling my hair out.

Thanks for stopping.

No Email Notifications

Okay....I noticed on Saturday May 26th that I was getting no emails for comments left. While I do not have a large following, I do have a handful of faithful commenters. I also considered that it was a holiday weekend.  Then I checked my recent posts and there they were 12 comments that I had not gotten my usual automatic notification from.

I reached out to some bloggy friends and there are some super smart bloggers out there.  My friend Darnell of  djkardkreations had also reached out to some of her friends and one found a solution.

I am going to redirect you to Darnell's blog to read the fix.  Its fairly simple.  Here is the post.

On to another surprise I saw on my  last blogger visit.

A few days ago blogger posted a notification that they would put out a notice to visitors on our behalf.  You can check that it does go out by putting in your blogger address and instead of .com put de or .fr  -  basically any extension from a European nation replaces the .com.  That is how I got the  banner below. The banner stays on until OK is clicked.
