05-31-23

 Hello-

Well it isn't the middle of the night and I am at my craft desk.  We'll see how it goes...I'll probably conk out at dinner time.

I'm still tackling the new stuff.  Today two die sets from Pink Fresh Dainty Blossoms and Noteworthy frames.  CAS Colours and Sketches has a double this week-both a color and sketch brief.

Super happy and bright colors for this one.  The cardbase and envelope were already printed, I added the off set stamped and die cut panel and the diecut stems.

I made another card inspired by the colors at Color Throwdown.  I just got the Everything Wonderful Card Kit from MFT, and I had a play with it.  I always thought I didn't have the patience for stitching with floss on cards, but these little flowers are done before I get fed up...lol.

The card base is from the Stampin Up Teacup set I got on clearance. Love that the envies are already decorated for me. This green stripe was perfect for the challenge.

I think that is it for me today.  The eyelids are getting heavy.  Thanks so much for visiting.

 Hello-

Hubs and I  have a tradition of writing one another a letter on our anniversary each year.  I have finished my letter and just made my card.

I have had the stamps and dies for more than a month...I'm just getting it done.

All are new and coming out of the cart for the first time.  (Waffle Flower Happy Anniversary, My Favorite Things Sweetheart, and The Greetery Fireworks background. )

I am sending this over to The Card Concept as a clean and layered card, I was definitely influenced by the colors.  And to Cupcake Inspirations where Anything Goes.  And I'll be adding it to NBUS's 50th challenge as well since it is created from all new stamps and dies.

Thanks so much for visiting.

 Hello--

Having some play time in my crafty space after a lazy weekend.

I have to attack my bin of new stuff... Here is how it looked at the beginning of the pandemic 03/2020:

And now more than 3 years later:

It now takes up the top of a small cart.  Yikes...and I have made and mailed more than 1000 cards in that time.  You would think there would be no stamps left...lol.

So on to using the stamps that have yet to see ink, and in this set card bases and envelopes I got for a great deal. I am liking the smaller focal point. Stamps are from Newton's Nook...the kitten line.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Hi There -

AAA Birthday Game #49 is about balloons.  I've got almost a half dozen plus a cake and cute mouse too.

The image and sentiment are both from MFT. The "table cloth" is from the Greetery and the card base and matching envelope are from Stampin Up.

Thanks so very much for visiting. Have a fabulous three day weekend for those celebrating Memorial Day.

 Hello-

I was struck by the mood board at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. Specifically the upper right quadrant.  I loved the idea of a cream colored backdrop for a Halloween card.  From that jumping off point this card resulted:

The tree and witch die-cuts were gifts, the background stamp is Hero Arts, the moon is MFT and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I am loving this cream backdrop for Halloween.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

 Hello -

Still at the crafty table.  There were three challenges that are calling for yellow - I could not pass up playing.

The yellow embossed panel was sent to me by Greta. I cut 3 white daisy stems to stack them. The sentiment is from MFT. I followed the color and sketch from Inspired By Challenge, The Floral component along with both heat and dry embossing from Can you Handle the Pressure, and yellow for Die Traumfabrik-Dream Factory .

 Hello-

Another round of nighttime crafting...

This was a quick card, thanks to the stencil from Pink Fresh called Floral Print Circle. I used 5 shades of blue inks from Altenew. Mounted the card and added an MFT sentiment along with three dark blue enamel dots. .

I am submitting this card to two challenges calling for Blue, Colorful Options and If you Give a Crafter a Cookie.

The bin of new stuff has one less item! YAY and thanks for stopping by.

 Hello-

My friend Hilary, gifted me two uniko stencils. One I had a matching stamp set for and the other is a lovely chain of flowers.  Hilary also has both stencils, so we decided to have an go at each using and sharing on the same day cards we created with the stencils.

First up Uniko's Fun Flowers, its a spray mask but I went in a different direction...

I started with a panel of black card stock.  I used white pigment ink to ink up the background of the stencil piece, then added tumbled glass, kitch flamingo, and twisted citron inks through the detail portion of the stencil.  Once done I added clear embossing powder and set it.  I wanted a strong focal point, so I traced out and cut one of the flower clusters on black card, added white pigment ink, heat embossed in white as well. I love the texture that gave with the bits of black peeking through.  I finished it with more DOX inks in the same shades as the base.  A sentiment was added and a trio of gems.

My second card is much more straight forward, I gold embossed the matching stamp which was already in my stash, then colored the leaves using the stencil. Added a sentiment and placed it on a colored base.

Thank you so much Hilary.  I can't wait to see what you made.  You can head over to Hilary's Blog here.

Thanks for visiting.

 Hello-

Back in my crafty space.  This card will be visiting the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge.

These lush blooms are from Pretty Pink Posh...colored with zigs on bristol.

They have given us an optional moodboard...I love the deep pinks.

I have a second card, a fun fold graduation card for our nephew.  His university colors are green and gold and I found a patterned paper that was close to green gold.  I created an easel for the card to stand because it just opens with the top flap and then there is a pocket to put a gift card/check/ note inside.  The owl was a stamp off from Peggy -- I have no idea of the maker.

This on is going to the Tic Tac Toe gallery using the top row. You can see the patterned paper and a gold strip adorning the envelope flap beneath the card.

 Thanks so much for visiting.

Hello-

This card is inspired by the sketch at MFT and the grid's center column at Tic Tac Toe.  Its a clean and simple card so it will also make a visit to Challenge up your Life

The stamps are from MFT -Festive Fireworks and Bitty Birthday Wishes heat embossed in gold. A small gold gem is added to the center of each firework burst.

Thanks for visiting.

On a personal note...

I am making the best of my weird sleep cycle as it seems this will be a long one. Its been going on for weeks this time.  I've managed a little routine. I wake between 3-4 pm, then it takes about an hour for me to feel with it...I make dinner for hubs and myself...fortunately I have never been a breakfast food fan when I first wake.

Then after the cleaning up, its up to the crafty space and perhaps 1 load of laundry.  I am trying to do 1 load a day or every other day instead of letting it pile up for a marathon 2 days of washing and folding.  Our next meal is something light...maybe a wrap or a sandwich or a small frozen meal.  Then hubs is off to bed around 2-3 am and I am up til 7 or 8 or when I am finally sleepy.

Gosh...3 cards in less than 24 hours and yet it seems like its been days.  This card will be going to the galleries at Stamping Sensations (no Option) and Color Hues (slate and orange).

I was playing with Tropical leaf (SU) again. I quite like the leaves in oranges.

 Hello-

A second post today, this one resulting from early morning crafting. I think I might be able to sleep as soon as I get this post done. Yay!

The Male Room is asking for animals...I recently acquired Rhino Ready and Tropical Leaf from Stampin Up along with Newton Nook Designs Tropical Leaves stencil.

Thanks for stopping by (again).

 Hello-

I have a late night card for you that was inspired by We Love Stamping (something from the garden), The Flower Challenge (Pretty Pastels), and Stencil Fun Challenge (option of flowers).

I used the stamp and stencil from Pink Fresh's Miss your Smile suite to make this card.

I stamped the outlines first, then added color with the stencil layers.  Fairly easy, this set is meant for a slimline format, but I do love images cut down to A2 size...causes one to wonder what else could be there.

The Happy Birthday is from Stampin Up white embossed on black. I cut the two words apart as I liked the stack better. A trio of pink pearls and the card was finished.

A touch of ink to the envelope with the darker parts of the stencil areas finished up the project.

Thanks so very much for visiting.

 Hello-

I have two cards to share for two challenges:

This clean and simple anniversary card featuring MFT's  Tweet Memories is going to the gallery at The Card Concept. I chose the "B" challenge photo inspiration. The sentiment is a conglomeration of several sets.

Next up is a fun fold card for Four Seasons:

A combination of patterned papers and an SU stamp called Marigold Moments. I thought they could easily be carnations too...and I loved that spray of lilacs in the upper left corner of the inspiration photo.

I am having a hard time getting my muse going again after our mini get away. I still have to unpack one bag and we have been home a week.  I got half the laundry done last weekend, and am working on the other half now.  Since the weather has been getting nice, I am now obsessed with getting my winter closet swapped out for summer...and then there are the ever present delays in sleeping.  When I am awake and energized to work, hubs is slumbering and I can't bang around making noises. Hope to do some catching up today as I was awake 2 hours earlier than usual.

Thanks for stopping by.

 Hello -

Hubs and I just got back from a week in Ohio visiting his folks.

I needed some card time after being away, and as I looked through the challenges this card came together.

I cut the Spellbinders Anemone die 3 times in black and 3 times in red.  I glued first the black outline die cuts then puzzle pieced in the red pieces and black flower centers. One left over red outline adorns the envelope flap.  The sentiment is from The Ton and adhered with foam tape.

I am entering it to the galleries at Tic Tac Toe -right column and Triple B May Challenge.

Thanks much for visiting.
