Dose of Happy

 Hi there-

I've started collecting online images and links to cards that grabbed me when I first saw them.  I am going to case them in my fashion with stuff I have.  I love yellow its no secret -- when I saw this card by Down of WPLUS9 (second card), I knew at some time I'd want to incorporate those elements.

My Supplies -  Avery Elle's Blooming, Altenew's Gradient Stripes Cover Die  , Copics (Y15,19,8; R05,17; C3; G12,24,100) and some SU pearls colored with Copic markers.

Do you ever case a card you've seen online?

In the pink

 Hello-

My dreaded vampire hours have returned. My days are flipped night for day.  The only productive thing I get done is catching up on reading.  I can't do laundry as our washer and dryer are near the bedroom and hubs is a light sleeper.  Ditto with my crafty space and its inherent noises (Paper cutter, heat gun...)

I have a  card today to post to a few challenges. CAS Mix Up Challenge, NBUS, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

At CAS Mix up we need to use a stencil with heat embossing.  My NBUS item is the stencil Peeking Chrysanthemums from Artplorations. Simon is asking for favorite technique- for me its still the magic of heat embossing which sucked me into this hobby.

I cut a slimline card base and inked up the stencil with Hero Arts Neon pink ink heavily at the center then very lightly towards the longer petals.  On the main bloom at the bottom I added versamark  then lifted the stencil to heat and add sticky embossing powder through the stencil and some very fine glitter after activating the sticky powder with heat. One more light heating and it was nicely glittered.  Lastly I added ink to the remaining images on the stencil but left them plain.  (The embossing changed the ink color just a bit, but I like that it keeps the focus on the bottom bloom.)

After adding the sentiment, I chopped off about an inch from the top of the card. The new dimensions are 7.5 inches by 3.5 inches.

Below is a close up of the heat embossing.

Thanks so much for visiting.

For my Valentine

 Hello-

The last of the laundry is almost done, so tomorrow will be a day spent with my Valentine, hubs and no housework.

I've made these cards for hubs.  I love punny cards...he endures them; so he gets two cards.

The punny card is from a CTMH set.  I've colored the images on flaps, and the coordinating punny sentiment is underneath.  Inside is a schmoozy sentiment to make up for the puns.

Next up is the traditional card.  I love chocolate...though I can be picky about the brand...taste...texture. Dark chocolate is prefered and white chocolate is a never.  The inference for this card is that I love hubs enough to give him my chocolate.

At first I thought these were mice from Colorado Craft Company...but those are awfully long tails. I guess they might be rats...no matter they are cute!  This card is going to  Addicted to CAS and CAS on Friday

Thanks for visiting.

Warmest Wishes

 Hello-

One card for two challenges; blended background and colorful are the themes at Just add Ink and Stamping Sensations

I am not much for coloring people...beyond my skills. But these cute little PI gals from MFT are easy. This one is so cute - Peggy sent me some stamped and die cut images.  I'm this one will have to join my stash full time at some point.  Copic coloring, MFT dies for the snow drifts and Sugar Pea Designs for the sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Happy Birthday

 Hello-

This afternoon as I had the impeachment on in the background; Peggy on facetime to my right, and my window view to the outside filling with snowflakes I made this card.

I used a new stamp to me Sunny Studio's Everything's Rosy along with Altenew mini ink cubes as its a layering stamp. The sentiment is from Close to My Heart.

I started with a full sheet of paper scored horizontally and vertically to show 4 quadrants. I intended to make 4 cards by cutting the sheet apart on the quadrants after having stamped it.

I did not end up liking the way the 4 panels looked originally, but I did end up loving the card I made by using two panels to add some layering to the panel.

I don't like giving up once a card is started, if at all possible I try to save it somehow.  I wish I had taken photos of each of the phases, next time...

This card is going to Addicted to Stamps and More and The Flower Challenge.

Slimline

 Hello-

Today a card for two challenges.  MFTs Slimline Winter Scene and Christmas Kickstart also a slimline card theme.

I'm starting with those cute Deer from MFT's Very Fawned of You, Artsy Swirls stencil from Stamplorations. Coloring is with Copics and Tumbled Glass distress ink.  Slimline Die is from Trinity Stamps.  MFT's Stitched Snow Drifts die is an A2 die but is easily placed at the end of the first cut to extend for a slimline card. A little red gem is on the nose of the fawn on the right side. He just looks like he wants to be Rudolph!

Sorry about the wonky photo, the light box I use is not well suited to the slimline size.  Thanks so much for vising.

Happy Valentines

 Hello-

This year I am making few Valentines, just family.  Part of my slowing down and enjoying my craft time. It had begun to feel like work last year.

I used a new to me mini stamp and die set from Waffle Flower called Sending Love.  This one is going to visit Double D Challenges and Shopping our Stash.

Steps:
Stamped in light gray the mail boxes randomly on the card base.
Stamped sentiment, stamped mouse and colored with copics
Diecut tag, sentiment, and mouse.
Added ribbon, epoxy heart to the tag then mounted it to the cardbase.
Adhered the sentiment and mouse.

Thanks so very much for stopping by.

Birthday Cheer

 Hello -

I am finding that I am slowing down on my card making.  And am enjoying it quite a bit more. I posted only 7 cards last month...but I loved every one of them.

As soon as I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the Feminine theme at Watercooler Wednesday, an idea came to mind and was executed very quickly.

The Avery Elle flowers were already colored and sitting in a little bag waiting to be used.  The octagonal die is from MFT and since its new to me will also send this card over to the February NBUS board for posting; and lastly but not least its a Birthday theme over at Addicted to Stamps and more.
