 Hello-

I am so inspired by the talented cardmakers I follow here in blogland.  Leslie (from running with sissors) has a fabulous way with patterned papers and watercoloring or coloring with markers and a blender pen.

She has also cost me money...she finds some of the cutest stamps.  Today, I opened up a recent purchase from Inky Antics  and Stamping Bella inspired by cards Leslie has made you can see them here, and here.

Being an eyeglass wearer, I found these stamps so cute.

This card will be visiting the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge.

I love coneflowers and the whimsy of this stamp.
Hard to resist after receiving Leslie's card with this image.

This card is visiting the gallery at Double D...they are looking for vases or pitchers.

I just love the tilt of his head.

This card is for the Colorful Options Challenge. Calling for rusty brown.

I discovered a few things this afternoon creating.  I pulled out the zig clean color markers and a set of similar arteza markers.  The areteza kinda dried out so I tossed the whole bunch of em.  They worked better on watercolor paper while the zigs are magical on bristol.  All my zigs are still juicy and they are at least 5 years old. I loved coloring with them so Thank you Leslie for inspiring me to try that again.  I should never make just one card in a session even if they are not all masterpieces...someone will appreciate getting them.

 Thanks much for visiting.

 Hello-

Its been awhile.  I was not in my crafty space much...it doubles as the guest room.  My folks were visiting from Utah. We had a lovely time together, and while we face time with regularity nothing is as good as an in-person visit.

I have a card for three challenges: Freshly Made Sketches for the design, Color Hues for the colors, and Double D Challenges for the focal point.

  • Stamps: Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath
  • Inks:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Markers: Copic E11,19.23,41,47,99; YR7,9.15.23.68
  • Papers:  Recollections

It was hard to get back into the groove for me after this year of starts and stops due to our travels and moving states.

However, after my folks left I rearranged a few things in the crafty space and its working so nicely now. Things are more in reach.

I also finally solved my chair problem.  We have thick padding and a high-pile carpet.  On top of that I have a gaming chair (its heavy) and my chair mat was unable to handle the combination of soft floor and heavy chair plus me.  I found a bamboo chair mat after searching on reddit.  Its made for deep pile carpets, but it is not cheap, luckily I found the size I wanted at Targets online store and it was 50.00 less than at the mfg site-- whoo hoo.  Now I can roll to my hearts content from one side of the room to the other. That sounds more impressive than it is. The mat is 4 feet by 6 feet, which fits almost perfectly between my shelving units and my file cabinets on the long end and between the bed legs and just under the desk legs keeping my floor vent clear.

I loved the view from my second floor window in Maryland.  I have lovely views here too. The back of the house looks over a field in to some woods.  The front looks out on to our little community.  We have a fabulous tree out front and its ablaze right now.

So thats it for today.  Hopefully I will be back soon.  I still have a handful of autumn cards to finish. Thanks for stopping by and indulging my rambling.

03/13/24

 Hello-

I am getting the last of my Easter cards done so they can go in the mail by the end of the week. My international cards have already been mailed.

The tulips are from Altenew. The die cut panel is PTI.

The sentiment is from Avery Elle. I foiled the sentiment, then die cut it. Then foiled the left over foil piece using a full foiling plate and die cut them as well. The negatives give an outlined foiled sentiment. This is a win win 2x's the sentiments one set of foilings.

I'll be placing these into the galleries at Double D and Triple B. One for each.

Thanks much for stopping by.

11-20-23-2

 Hello-

I am popping in with a couple more cards, they are simple and quick. The first will be submitted to Peace on Earth Christmas  and  Tic Tac Toe.(left to right diagonal) The second card will go to Double D Challenges.

A very easy card, white heat embossed and some pink fresh clear iridescent drops added as ornaments.

This is very similar but with an added layer of gold mirror card, and the "dots" are pink fresh drops in gold.

Both of these cards will go in packages, as they probably won't play nice with the postal sorting machines.

Thanks much for stopping by.

06-24-23-2

 Hello,

A two post day...

This card is visiting three challenges.

Triple B - June I chose Butterflies, Double D Challenges I made a blue monochromatic card, and for Tic Tac Toe I am using the far right column Die cut, bright color and CAS.

The die came with my Gemini machine, and I finally tried it out.  I used a premade cardbase and matching envie from Stampin up and then inked a handful of the cut butterflies to match. They then were placed in to the spaces with the wings fluffed. The larger got a pearl embellishment.  Reminds me of cards I might have made 5-6 years ago...but I love it.

 Thanks so much for visiting...again.

10-8-22

 Hello again-

I honestly don't know where the time goes, though this week was my "work" week when I am helping hubs with his business.

I thought it would be a good day to make a few cards.

I started with the Card Concept challenge, I loved the colors used in the inspiration photo. I am going to call this style clean and layered, I think the inked background takes it away from clean and simple. The trees are an SU die and the blending is DOX inks in mustard seed, carved pumpkin, candied apple, and villainous potion. The sentiment comes from Close to My Heart.  I thought the finished card was also good for the gallery at Four Seasons- fall.

I liked Amy's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the design evolved into this along with some inspiration from Double D's Challenge - Oktoberfest, the tree colors in the upper left mood board drew me in.

The paper is from Stampin Up, the mouse in the leaves is from MFT, and the sentiment is from CTMH. It was fairly easy to round it out on a block to stamp inside the circle.

That's it for today, enjoy your weekend. Thanks so much for visiting.
