 Greetings-

July's calendar page is simple, but brings a smile to my face. The fireworks are from MFT.

I used Altenew inks in Crimson, Sunray, and Ultramarine.

Bonnie provided me the file of the Calendar. I needed only to decorate the months after printing and cutting them apart.

06-01-23

Hi There-

I did conk out yeaterday around 6:30 pm post afternoon crafting.  After waking I was back in my crafty space.

We found out during a video chat that our nephew and his girlfriend became engaged. They are a sweet young couple. Two people who have goals and are hard working. They are so good together.  I needed to make a card to send them our congratulations and love.

I took inspiration from CAS on Friday asking for embossing and Can you handle the pressure which has an optional twist of birds/birdhouses.  The SU set sweet songbirds came out of the new bin to make this card:

First of the month and its time for the next calendar page. Thank you Bonnie for the calendar file.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

 Hi

Time for another calendar page.  I loved this image last year for Easter so it had to come out for this page. The image is from Avery Elle.

Bonnie Klass provided the calendar file, I only had to print, cut and choose my monthly decorations.

Copic colored.

03-01-2023

 Hello

Time for another calendar page. This one got an edit in 2023, I had only a shamrock embossing folder, and had cut out a rather pathetic shamrock to glue on. Fortunately, I got a new shamrock set from Stampin Up and then added new ones.  The calendar recipients have had three shamrocks mailed to them along with a photo, so they'll have a guide to update the page.

And, again the calendar file was graciously emailed with cutting instructions to me by Bonnie Klass.

Thanks for visiting.

Hey There-

Its time for the next calendar page...

Bonnie Klass provided the file, all I had to to was print and cut and decorate each month. Such fun.

This was from a recollections stamp set that was a gift, and the cat holding the heart just seemed perfect. I really kept it simple with 4 markers.  R20, R22, R24, N0

Happy New Year - Abundant Blessings to everyone.

Thanks to the lovely Bonnie Klass, I made some calendars this year. She sent me her calendar file...twice I misplaced it the first time...now how does one misplace an email...I've no idea which is why I had to ask her to send it again.

I love the MFT polar bears and this guy is from the Cool Day set. I kept my colors simple.

So, its time for the last calendar page. I admit that after making all those cards...the calendar fell a bit short. Though I do smile when I look at it.

September

Hello-

My September Calendar page is completely out of control...but I am embracing it.  My inking is splotchy, and I really don't care.  Sometimes I love the brushes sometimes not.  I probably just need to use the distress oxides so that its creamy and smooth for the blending when I want lots of color saturation.  Next time...

I have a new to me Newton's Nook stamp set and I loved this image considering we had been going to the farmers markets several times last month.

So here's to September!

Thanks for stopping.

Face Time Crafting

Hello-

Peggy and I spent 3.5 hours on facetime today, crafting...specifically coloring for me...die-cutting and coloring for Peggy.

We have a good rapport having crafted together in person for several years.  So I am happy that it's close to normal doing it via face time...we both miss the hugs and the swapped baked goods...but it is the time together that counts.

I finally made my June calendar page...I'm so glad I added the white dots...it was meh before that little addition. Now I like it.

The stamp is a petuna sprig from IO. #L16429  I think it is going to go live with Peggy. I did not have fun coloring it.  It might have been the colors I chose...the orientation I stamped it...who knows. In anycase, it'll get more love in Maine.

The rest of the cards I made today are for challenges, they are thank you's to retailers who have gone the extra mile for me...be it with an extra stamp, an overnighted catalog, making a price correction in my favor, or sending along a prize pack.

The Card Concept - My clean and simple card was inspired by the lei of yellow blooms along the edge of the table.

May Calendar

Hey there -

My May calendar page will make me smile every time I look at it.  I used a new MFT Stamp called Floral Focus.  Its and odd stamp--a single piece with several flowers and leaves.  I stamped and tried coloring it several times and was not thrilled with the outcome.

I finally realized it looked like several separate flower sprigs. So I cut the stamp into two pieces.  One has buds and a barely opened flower...saving that for Mother's day cards.  And then this piece which I stamped on my calendar page on each side and the top and then colored with copics.  I'm pleased with the outcome. Now the whole stamp has value to me.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Stay safe, Stay well, and stay mindful during these times.
