Twofer Card Challenge 31

Greetings-

Its the 10th of the month so another Twofer Card Challenge is going live today.  The topic is:

If you've been a frequent visitor to my blog, you know I often start with choosing my stamp, die or stencil.   This month I am going with Lawn Fawn's Joy to the Woods.

In order to play by the challenge rules:

I sketch out two card ideas before putting the time and effort in to create my cards only to end up with two looking very much the same.  Here is my sketch for this month:

Below are my Twofers, both together and individually.

My common element is the birch tree on the far left of the Christmas card.

Thanks so very much for visiting....and I hope to see your Twofers in the Gallery.

Fabulous Twofer with the birch trees, Cat! Just love the trio with the cardinal and birdhouse & soft clouds for card one! And what an amazing frame a single tree x 4 makes!!

This is genius to use the trees for a frame! Very creative and it made a great card. Love the cardinal and bright pop of color he gives.

I love what you've done with your birch trees, Cat! You did an amazing job making those snowy hills. Me and the cardinal are in awe! Sweet birdhouse, too! And I love the way you turned your trees into a birch frame for your birthday card design ... a winter birthday I see by the clever little holly punctuation in the corners! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

That's such a clever way to use the tree. It makes a fabulous frame and i love the holly on the birthday card. Why do we always just keep it for Christmas? The red cardinal is beautiful too xx

I always enjoy seeing your sketches and then seeing how they come to life on your cards! That sweet cardinal and birch trees look wonderful on your inked snowbanks! Fabulous birch frame that allows your sentiment to remain the focus!

This is super clever! I love the wood frame and your Christmas card. I like this tree prompt. I don’t know if I have ever done one of these challenges on time though!

I am really a beginner at the gelli plate. If you look on YouTube, a lot of the videos are complex, so I am kind of trying to figure out some easier things. And I like using my stamps in different ways.

Oh, gosh, that looks like a super cute stamp set. I love seeing the stamps you use. Very clever to make a frame with those birch trees. Hmmm, I'm thinking you've inspired me again! Brilliant job with your Twofer cards, Cat. You're such an asset to the team!

Such clever use of those deliciously texture-y looking birch trees, Cat! They make for such a super perch for your sweet cardinal (and his house!) ... he can look out at those soft snow banks knowing he's cosy warm indoors! Brilliant idea to create a frame for the birthday sentiment on your second card ... it's graphic in a fun, whimsical way, especially with those cute holly sprigs on the corners! Hugs, Anita :)

Oh my goodness, I love both of your Twofers! I have this set but have only used it once. You've given me good ideas on how to use it more. I love your scene with the birch trees, so pretty! I really love how you used those birch trees as a frame though! So pretty and different. Great with a bold sentiment too. Hugs, Brenda

Pretty sure that white birch trees are my favorite trees. As long as they're not planted too close to the gutters on my house, lol!! Yours, however, look amazing on both cards. What a pretty Christmas card, and very reminiscent of winter scenes around here. Such a sweet cardinal, too! And how very darn clever to use them as a frame for your birthday card!!! This is just perfect for a wintery birthday! Really a great twofer here, Cat! (sorry I'm a little late with this...) Hope all is well and you are safe. Take care, Bev
