07-13-2023

 Hello-

I've been binging on television...Wimbledon in the mornings and early afternoons and then the WSOP Main Event poker tournament in the evenings until the wee hours.

I've got the tourney on now, up in my crafty space they are down to 25 from 10043 entrants.  So this will be a quick post. I die cut some blooms and did a bit of gluing while binging.

A die cut panel from a crafty friend...not sure who-in my cleaning and  organizing zeal I didn't think to add post it notes, but thank you just the same! The blooms are from MFT's newest card kit. The sentiment comes from Ellen Hutson.

I am adding this card to these galleries:

Triple B: July, We love Stamping, and Stamping Sensations...all calling for flowers.  And because the flower dies and the sentiment are new, NBUS.

Thanks much for visiting.

 Greetings-

July's calendar page is simple, but brings a smile to my face. The fireworks are from MFT.

I used Altenew inks in Crimson, Sunray, and Ultramarine.

Bonnie provided me the file of the Calendar. I needed only to decorate the months after printing and cutting them apart.

 Hello-

It is pouring outside at this moment...we didn't get much from the big storm expected yesterday evening but its coming down now. I do love a good summer storm.

I took a bit of license with the sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches and maybe its not quite a sterile CAS card...but I think its close so I will share it in the challenge gallery.

it does have a surprise inside too...

The MFT Cool Cats set has this cute back side image of a cat that fits perfectly to the head only image. I love this unexpected bit of fun, so I am also sending this to Time Out challenge gallery-Funny, because this makes me giggle.

Thanks so much for visiting.

06-24-23-2

 Hello,

A two post day...

This card is visiting three challenges.

Triple B - June I chose Butterflies, Double D Challenges I made a blue monochromatic card, and for Tic Tac Toe I am using the far right column Die cut, bright color and CAS.

The die came with my Gemini machine, and I finally tried it out.  I used a premade cardbase and matching envie from Stampin up and then inked a handful of the cut butterflies to match. They then were placed in to the spaces with the wings fluffed. The larger got a pearl embellishment.  Reminds me of cards I might have made 5-6 years ago...but I love it.

 Thanks so much for visiting...again.

I am sliding in at the last hours of AAA Card Challenge and trying out a timed challenge at As You See It.

AAA Card Challenge has a everything beach challenge and Swift Shells (under10 minutes)is the brief at As You See It.

Patterned paper sure speeds things up when under a time crunch.

Thanks for visiting.

 Hello-

Today I am happy to be guest designing along with the talented team at CAS on Friday.  Thank you so much for inviting me.

The theme for challenge #260 is LOVE.  I happened to have a sweet set from The Greetery that was a perfect fit called Lovely Silhouettes.

I started by inking inside a masked rectangle, once I had the color saturation I wanted, I let it dry. While it was drying I stamped the sentiment from the set and die cut the Love.  I glued the two together.  Once the panel was dry, I heat embossed the silhouette flower stem. I added the sentiment on foam, and decorated  with 3 color glass half beads.

For your blog

Head on over to see what the design team has created for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS-

I decided to share this on my GD post, since the themes are the same.  Hubs and I took a few days off to celebrate our anniversary in May...but our trip was delayed til last week. We went on a love sign treasure hunt in Virginia along both coasts which included a 17 mile bridge and tunnel drive to Virginia's eastern shore.  Below are some pictures from that trip. Hubs likes steam era train history and of course there were a few museums for him along the way. We did see some wild ponies in the distance along with egrets and herons while on Chincoteague Island. We've seen about 50 or so of the 340+ loveworks signs since we first started searching for them 8 years ago.  It was a ton of driving, but we enjoyed our "treasures hunt".

06-21-23-2

 Hello again-

I had meant to get this posted June 8th, but life got in the way.

I am submitting this to Fourseasons June - Anything Goes... Its a recently retired set from Stampin Up and I love the images for masculine cards.  The leaf frame from Altenew was sent by a crafty friend. I thought it worked well with the smaller scene and the feel of the card.

 Thanks for stopping to visit!

Hello -

Its been  a while. I have a card for three challenges-  Crazy is our Fame - Stencils, Challenge Up your Life Slimline, and We Love Stamping -Anything Goes (Alternate).

Slimlines are tough to photograph.  This one was made for my MIL, to give to another family member.  I took this quick snap and then mailed the card off...before taking a bloggy pic.  So I've cropped it the best I can.

The flowers are from Pink Fresh (Heartfelt Thanks) stamped and colored with stencils and Altenew inks. I blended a bit of color on the left card front and the right card interior edges. The card front edge on the right side was trimmed along the flower images.

In a fortuitous bit of luck, it turns out purple is a favorite color of the recipient, something I did not know when I began the project.

Thanks for visiting.
