02-02-2022

 Hello-

Wow, February already?

I have a new stamp set -- Flowing Flowers from Stampin Up and I also pulled out a fairly new die from Simon Says Stamp - Etched Delicate Frond. I used them both for this Thank You card.

I am having this go visit the galleries of Watercooler Wednesday, Cupcake Inspiration and NBUS#35.

Grab our badge to display on your blog.

On the personal front:

I haven't been doing much crafting do to a debilitating round of the lovely vampire hours; which thankfully I seem to be easing out of bit by bit.

Three years ago I set a goal for myself to enter challenges and try to make cards that would gain a mention or a win each month.  To my surprise, I surpassed that goal and one year rolled to two then three and eventually made cardmaking feel like a job.  I stopped having fun making cards.

Today, I am appreciative of my Vampire hours. Since I made few cards in January and earned no mentions at all.

I actually enjoyed making today's card.

That doesn't mean there will be a furry of posts for February; I didn't get more than the family covered for Valentines and the Olympics are starting...I might have glimpsed a few seconds of curling when I got up at 4:30 this morning.  I love the winter Olympics so I do imagine I will be spending lots of time watching.

So thank you all for visiting and I appreciate your comments.

01-26-2022

 Hi There-

It has been months since the vampire hours have hit me, and annoyingly they have been here for about a week and a half now.  Typically I sleep from 11:30 pm- 12 am to 7 or 8am with a few wake ups of just minutes during that time.  Right now I am sleeping from 7 or 8 am to noon, then 3 or 4 pm til 10 or 11 pm. Today, I couldn't sleep at all this morning, so I decided to visit my neglected crafty space.

I have two cards for two challenges.

For Color Hues:

For Watercooler Wednesday:

Thanks so very much for popping by!

1-14-2022

Hello ~

Today, this card will be visiting two challenges: The Flower Challenge, and Watercooler Wednesday.

I used Altenew inks in the Pocket Full of Sunshine set for the monochromatic coloring.

The Flower Challenge calls for a monochromatic flower card and Watercooler Wednesday is for all things feminine.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

12-2-21

 Hello-

I am still working on the last few Christmas cards, they are local deliveries. The rest have been mailed out. YAY.

I am sneaking in under the wire at Inky Paws with this one and I'll submit it to Watercooler Wednesday as well.

The stamp is Newton's Nook called Newton' Stocking, the red panel was die cut with Newton's Nook die set Frames and Flags.  I used an MFT stencil English Brick Wall for the 3 small panels. The Stocking was colored with copics.

Thanks much for visiting and I hope your card making is going well.

11-15-21

 Hello-

After seeing the reminder for The Flower Challenge's challenge, I decided to make one more card. I'll also be adding it to the Watercooler Wednesday gallery

I used three WPLUS9 stamp sets, I found it quicker & easier to use just 2 (rose) or three (hellebore) stamps for the multi-step blooms. The sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp and the panel die is from The Greetery.

Thanks much for visiting.

11/11/21

Greetings!

To all our Veteran's thank you so very much for your service.

I love the little monsters from PPP's Monster Hugs stamp set.  I thought they'd make a cute thank you card as well.

I masked the hugs part of the sentiment and found a thanks sentiment that would go with the silly nature of the card.  The die cut monsters and the sentiment flag were mounted on a card base stamped with a text background from SSS You matter.

I am sending this card to the following challenges:

CAS Colours and Sketches      Simon Says Stamp Wed Challenges  Watercooler Wednesday

            Thanks/Thanksgiving

Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween

Hey there -

With the new mail times, it seems Halloween cards should be going in the mail soon. Who knows how long delivery will take.  I've seen some crazy routing with packages from the USPS lately so who knows what is happening with first class mail.

I have a card for several challenges.

I've used DSP from Stampin UP and a new stamp from Pretty Pink Posh for the main image. The sentiment comes from Close to my Heart and a crimped circle die from The Greetery.  The images were colored with copics.

The challenges I am entering:

Inspired By Challenge, Double D Challenges, Watercooler Wednesday, and Challenge Up Your Life.

Thanks so very much for taking the time to visit.

Thanks

 Hi There -

I know its been awhile.  I've been visiting blogs, but not making many cards.  I do hope to ramp up this month though.

I have a thank you card  that uses some ink blending, a die cut sent to me by a bloggy friend years ago and I am not sure which one it was.  I triple heat embossed the die with gold powder to give it a luxurious look.

This card is for Watercooler Wednesdays.

Thanks for visiting.

Awesome Day

 Hello-

I am back from my break.  We visited Vic's folks for his Dad's birthday, and I took a few extra days to both get ready for the trip and recuperate afterwards.  For likely the first time, we came home to a clean house in the sense that it didn't look like we had packed frantically at the last minute leaving a tornado like debris field in our wake.

It was lovely returning to an orderly home, and I think I will keep that in mind for the future.

I haven't crafted in quite awhile, and the easiest way for me to get back to it is to play in challenges.

Three challenges inspired this card. AAA Card Game, Time Out Challenges, and Watercooler Wednesday.

Thank you so much for visiting, and I will be back to commenting on your creations tomorrow.  Its overwhelming to comment on all those I missed while I took my break, so I am starting tomorrow anew.

Stamps: Technique Tuesday Carnation Friend w/die, SSS Tilted Banner Sayings w/Die.

Birthdays

Hello- Back in the crafty space for a few hours today.  Two cards for two challenges each.

I have quite a few August birthdays, thankfully later this month so I can get them made and mailed.

This one is visiting Watercooler Wednesday and The Male Room.
The stamp is from Stampin up and I thought it made a
good summer birthday scene for a man.

This card will visit the Flower Challenge and Just Add Ink.

The flower bouquet is from Penny Black and the image is copic colored.

Thanks so much for visiting. Enjoy your Sunday.

Thanks

 Hello-

Getting a handmade card is such a day brightener for me, and sometimes there is an extra surprise in the envelope.  Recently I was gifted this cute kitty cat from neat and tangled, so I though she'd make a perfect thank you.

I stamped, colored with copics and die cute this sweet lil kitty before mounting her on a SU card base with yellow blooms.  I am submitting this card to two challenges - Watercooler Wednesday and Addicted to Stamps.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Red White Blue

 Hello There -

I finally got the majority of my clean up done.  I have a clear path to my new desk and the clutter I had let build up on tables infront of my shelving has all been dealt with.  I still have to tackle the closet and a corner near the closet...but those are July projects.

To reward myself for my efforts I had a face time crafty session with Peggy.  Its been fun to create with almost 3 feet of horizontal space.  I had been working in a 12x18 space for a long time. Today I spread out my mess!

For Tic Tac Toe I  used the center column, Summer, Free, Fireworks. This card also has a fun fold.

This card will play at: Watercooler Wednesday, Cupcake Inspiration, Tic Tac Toe and NBUS

Thanks so much for visiting.

Happy

 Hello-

Today I pulled out a new stamp set, new dies and a new stencil.  They are all from MFT. The stamps are High Flying Adventure along with matching dies, and the slimline cloud stencil.

I stamped 3 of the airplanes and 1 critter along with sentiments from CTMH, and a banner die from Newtons Nook to provide the greeting banner flying behind the airplanes. Two are going to the Dads and one is for my Godson's birthday. He wants to get his pilots license so I thought this would be fun. I liked the design so much after the first, that the other two followed.

The cards are visiting 3 Challenges - Seize the Birthday,  Watercooler Wednesday and The Male Room.

First for Seize the Birthday: with toppings, there are wheels on the airplane.

Next up Watercooler Wednesday - All things Masculine

And for The Male Room - Dads and Granddads.

Thanks for visiting.
