 Hello-

I couldn't pass up a card for Leap Day, and Time Out has the perfect challenge inspiration for the card.

The frog is from Gerda Steiner - Frogs, the die cut panel is Memory Box -Splashing Puddles (Thank you Darnell!)  The sentiment was computer generated and printed.

Enjoy the "extra" day everyone!

04-07-23

 Hello-

I am sharing one of my all time favorite cards today.  It was a lot of work...I think there were close to 20 steps with each stamping, die cutting, trimming and gluing parts.  I think the end result was worth the time it took to make this card, but I probably won't do it again for a batch of 20.

I am  submitting this to Four Seasons Anything Spring and Time out Challenges photo (fence and flowers).

Thank you for stopping by.

12-7-22

 Greetings-

I don't think I have ever been this late with my Christmas cards.  Thankfully my overseas cards were mailed about 10 days ago.  The domestics will go out by the 15th.  Now I just need to finish them. Only about 7 more to go. I found a few more that I needed to send...lol

I made a similar card last week, but this one features the pre foiled sentiment from Pinkfresh Studios. I made several cards similar to this with the foiled sentiments. The patterened paper is from SU, it is the back and front of one sheet. I cut the bigger rectangle with a stitched edge die, then flipped the die cut piece over and cut out the smaller piece for embossing. Fortunately the die for the smaller piece fits beautifully in the space even though I flipped it.

I'll be sending this one to Time Out Challenges and Christmas Kickstart.

Thanks so very much for visting during this busy time.

 Greetings -

I love the stamps and dies from Newton's Nook Design, so when I saw this Inky Paws challenge I had to play along.

I stamped the NND image in versafine sepia ink and used colored pencils to add color. The sentiment comes from SSS.  Then panel was die cut (Reverse Confettii) and placed on an orange cardbase.

I am also adding this card to the Time Out Gallery - Festive.  And to the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Thanks so very much for visiting.

Hello-

How is it May is almost here? Time is flying by.

The theme at Time Out is spring, and I am sharing this lil bouquet in the gallery.

The flowers are from MFT, the wrap die is from MFT, the oval is from NND and the string and bow are from PPP.  I have feeling I am going to be die cutting lots of little blooms.

Thanks for visiting.

Awesome Day

 Hello-

I am back from my break.  We visited Vic's folks for his Dad's birthday, and I took a few extra days to both get ready for the trip and recuperate afterwards.  For likely the first time, we came home to a clean house in the sense that it didn't look like we had packed frantically at the last minute leaving a tornado like debris field in our wake.

It was lovely returning to an orderly home, and I think I will keep that in mind for the future.

I haven't crafted in quite awhile, and the easiest way for me to get back to it is to play in challenges.

Three challenges inspired this card. AAA Card Game, Time Out Challenges, and Watercooler Wednesday.

Thank you so much for visiting, and I will be back to commenting on your creations tomorrow.  Its overwhelming to comment on all those I missed while I took my break, so I am starting tomorrow anew.

Hippo Bird Day

 Hello-

With spring like temps this week, my mojo must be thawing out some.  I had fun making these cards for the nephews even though they are not needed until May.

I was inspired by Time Out Challenge, Just Us Girls, and Addicted to CAS, Its a 7th birthday celebration and Birthday or celebration challenge at Time Out, and animals are the theme at Just us Girls and Addicted to Cas.

I had to make two cards, they were such fun to color.

I do love a good punny card, so the sentiment just cracked me up. I used copics to color the animals and since its for males, I kept the colors to two with the neutral for the hippos. I love MFT's dies for grounding shadows. I never know what to do with grounding the images, problem solved.

Thanks for visiting.

Thankful and RAC

Hi Again...

Two more cards this afternoon.  They'll be visiting the galleries over at Time Out Challenges and Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

One more try with the print making technique from my last post, but a better die cut shape.  It to had its oh heck moment...the gold embossed sentiment did not show well, so I overstamped it with black.  Happy result, a nice shadow and it gives the big solid letters almost a filigree type look.

This on is going to visit at Tic Tac Toe with the diagonal of Heat Embossing, Big Sentiment, and Yellow.

My second card(s) are for Thanksgiving, and will be visiting Time Out Challenges - Season.

I bought this CTMH set last year but never got it out to play.  I cut the frame out of stencil material, and  used it as a guide for placing my letters and images on the card panel in my misti.  Took a lot of the guess work out of placement.

Thanks much for visiting.

Smiles

Hello-

Seems like its been ages since I sat down and actually colored, or made a card. The stay at home orders are getting to me. If there was an end in sight I could work around it...I do not do well in limbo. I like to plan...and you just can't plan in limbo.  I was happy to get some cleaning done and the laundry is in the works as I color.

This one is for my Dad and will be visiting several challenges:

Nbus #13, Time Out, Addicted to Stamps and More.

This stamp is out of my new stuff bin, its been there maybe two years, so its high time it came out. Its from Newton's Nook and is called Newton's Bird Bath.  We have a deep green one in the backyard, and I love watching the birds and squirrels taking a dip.

The other new item is the stencil from Simon Says Stamp, called Folk Dance.

I love you

Hello -

I got a very late start on my Valentine cards, and as a result only made 20. More thank half were the same card, quick and simple.  This card is for Hubs.  The main image was white embossed on the card base, then the love birds were white embossed on vellum.  I fussy cut the love birds and mounted them with foam dots onto the embossed sentiment heart. Both stamps are from Penny Black.

It will visit the galleries at Penny Black Saturday ChallengeAllsorts Challenge andTime Out Challenge Shopping our stash, Casology, and Double D Challenge.
