Birds

Hi There -

I have a few stamps with birds on them, but I'm not really a fan of bird stamps...and as I say this I think about my bird stamps...I love my penguins,  I love my seagulls, and I am kinda in love with the cute lil guys from Lawn Fawn...so I guess I am a fan of particular bird stamps...the ones that are easy to color.

The challenge over at TWOFER is of course Birds. The deadline approaches and I had to play along.
I've used my new Newton's Nook Winter Birds set.  I love these guys cause I know how to color them all.  I watch them all at the bird feeder outside.  Both my cards are traditional cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

ETA:Okay....I've edited the post to clarify...I thought I wasn't a fan of bird STAMPS...the real ones I love to watch out my window.

Two beauties with the cardinal stamp, Cat! Don't you just love the Twofer Challenge? Such a great way to get multiple cards done!! You did a wonderful job with this month's theme!

Hmmm, not really a fan of birds, Cat, yet you have a bird feeder? Or to rephrase, I think if you have a bird feeder and you're not really a fan of birds makes you a very caring person! Your two traditional cardinal designs are impeccably colored and executed! I'm jealous because we don't have cardinals out here. That red must be so dramatic IRL against the white snow and the blue of a winter sky, just like on your creations! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell

I think you've proved yourself a fan of cardinals at least, Cat ... what a fabulous duo! Tthe bright red is gorgeous against the bold blue and the soft sponged skies on both your cards ... there's a lovely feeling of fresh frostiness about them! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Cardinals are the sweetest, Cat. Have you noticed, during your bird watching that the male feeds his mate?
You've created two gorgeous cards with this stunning bird!

I love birds, both real and stamps, but easy to color is the best. I'm intimidated by the coloring of realistic birds. It would be lovely to have Cardinals here on the west coast, sigh. You have two very lovely cards for our Twofer Birds Challenge. Thanks so much for playing along!

I love the one on the right, particularly the little bit of ink blending behind your lovely bird. I always struggle to fade it out like that xx

Such striking cardinals! They are beautiful IRL, and as your captured them here! So funny that you had to clarify - I feel like I should do that on so many posts. I knew what you meant ;) Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Gorgeous coloring of your cardinals, Cat! 2 beautifully designed cards! I love watching the birds, too. Lately I've had a Red-naped Sapsucker--so beautiful!
