Happy Birthday and Mother's Day

Greetings!

I have several friends and relatives who love pink.  I plucked a new stamp set out of my bin to play with, its from MFT.  I found it a bit difficult to color and stamp on the panel until I cut the stamp in half!

I definitely love the sprig I cut off from the entire stamp.  So much so, that I used it for my besties birthday and my MIL's Mother's Day card.  I lopped off one petal on the Mother's Day card so the flowers would fit in the glittery vase.

The clean and layered Mother's Day card is going to visit The Card Concept Challenge.

Thanks much for the visit!

Happy Mothers Day

Hello--

Blogger has changed the way the user interface looks and I have been scrambling through it. Yikes.
My posts will be less chatty until I get comfortable with the new format.

So I have a clean and simple card for The Card Chain Challenge

The calla lily stamp is from Stampin UP. I added a touch of pencil coloring after stamping the images.

Thanks so much for visiting.

April CCC

Greetings...

Here is my card for the April Card Chain Challenge.  This challenge is all about making a card with a choice of several prompts, and mailing it off so that the recipient gets it by the end of the month. You in turn will receive a card by month's end as well.  The current sign up can be found here.

This card is going to Chris this month.  I chose to go with both the sketch and another prompt of glitter.

Thanks for stopping by.

May Calendar

Hey there -

My May calendar page will make me smile every time I look at it.  I used a new MFT Stamp called Floral Focus.  Its and odd stamp--a single piece with several flowers and leaves.  I stamped and tried coloring it several times and was not thrilled with the outcome.

I finally realized it looked like several separate flower sprigs. So I cut the stamp into two pieces.  One has buds and a barely opened flower...saving that for Mother's day cards.  And then this piece which I stamped on my calendar page on each side and the top and then colored with copics.  I'm pleased with the outcome. Now the whole stamp has value to me.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Stay safe, Stay well, and stay mindful during these times.

Big Hugs

Hello-

One more time for the tulips.  This time with some pencil on dark gray cardstock.  My friend Michele at I Card Everyone had left a comment that she was itching to color the tulips white.  That inspired me to do just that...and to send the card off to her as a thank you for the inspiration.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Congratulations

Hello-

Today's card is very special.

I made it for my Dad and his new Bride to celebrate their wedding.  With the world situation being what it is, we won't be there in person, but thanks to his bride Dianne, we'll be viewing the ceremony via the web.

This stamp comes from my bin of new stuff, and is from Stampin Up. The wedding colors are cream and purple.  I did my best to match. The cake was stamped and colored with copics, then fussy cut. Pearls were added to the flower centers and some Spectrum clear glitter marker over the blooms.  The cake was mounted on top of an embossed panel.  The sentiment was heat embossed on vellum and added at an angle to accentuate the line of the cake top and flowers.

Hubs and I dressed in our wedding finery to "attend" the wedding.

So Congratulations to Dennis and Dianne,  may your happiness and love today grow ever on.

Thanks for visiting.

With Love

Hi there,
This is my second post today, a bunch of lovely Penny Black Tulips, a stamp out of my new stuff bin.

They were stamped on watercolor paper with versafine black onyx ink, then water colored using distress ink markers.  The sentiment is also from Penny Black.

Deck The Halls

Hi There -

I finally made use of my odd sleeping hours...I mopped the kitchen floor and made a few cards and I am about to go take a nap...or more likely my main sleep for the day about 5 hours.  At some point I will naturally get back to a "regular" sleep schedule, but forcing it does nothing but extend the vampire hours.

This quick card is for CAS Christmas card challenge, where the theme is Christmas Song.

I love this light string and song title sentiments in this set Festive Greetings from WPlus9.

Thanks for visiting.

Hello

Hi there-

I'm still forcing the mojo...this one felt a little better as for creative flow.  It took me about 2 hours when normally it would take half that time.  I rarely spend more than an hour on a card; that is my attention span and my patience limit. Sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't.

Another stamp set out of my NBUS bin, though it is a 2 year old stamp WPlus 9's Modern Anomones. The sentiment comes from CTMH.  The inspiration for the card comes from two challenges:  CAS on Friday (black, white and 1 color) and Just Us Girls (square card w/1 square).

I cut my base at 4.25 x 8.5 inches, scored and folded it.  I cut a white square just a bit smaller 4.125" and stamped in pale ink the anemones in the center so I could preserve the remainder for a mat piece.  I colored the blooms no line style with copics.  Then I stamped them again in versamark and white heat embossed them.  Fussy cutting next, and then some leaves were heat embossed on the black square which was cut at 4 inches.  I used an embossing buddy and after the embossing was heat set I used a microfiber cloth to get rid of the white haze the embossing buddy left on the card stock.  I  added the sentiment put the layers together, and added the pearls last.

Sympathy

Hello -

These days the creating is forced.  Tonight I picked 3 challenges, looked in my card bin and made two sympathy cards since I have zero in my stash.  I don't like creating them for needs.

I tend to like botanicals for sympathy cards, and oddly today - green which isn't a favorite color of mine.  But I do like these cards.  I hope they sit a good long time in my stash.

This card goes to Case this Sketch:

This card goes to Just add Ink and Watercooler Wednesday.

I thank you for stopping by, and hope you are all staying safe and finding some time to be creative.
