Hey There -
I actually got my July Calendar done ( ... my word... July already???) last week in a rare bit of thinking ahead.
Thanks for taking a gander. Have a good July.

A lil sewing project
Hello-
I have had my copic markers in tulle bags separated by color family for a few years. I love that I can just grab a color family and have them all at hand. I keep the tulle bags in a half wide deep art bin satchel.

Those bags have started to come undone, so I thought I’d sew some - quick straight seams nothing fancy. I started collecting some fabrics- polka dots, zig zags, and gingham In various colors so each bag would coordinate with the color family. I ended up using each pattern for 3 bags.
Just looking at all these colors and patterns make me happy!

Birthday Wishes
Hello-
Tonight its a late night crafting session via messenger with my local crafty gals. I made this card amid lots of good conversation and laughter. It will be visiting two challenges : Seize the Birthday and Addicted to Stamps and more.
I chose a stamp from Altenew, and used distress inks for the watercoloring. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I've been enamored of spiced marmalade, worn lipstick, and concord grape as a color combination lately.

Happy 4th of July
Hello -
I bought a fabulous fireworks stencil from Pretty Pink Posh a while back and it seems a shame not to make a card for the 4th of July. I'll be sending it over to Watercooler Wednesday Tristans All About Occasions.
Instead of a night sky I decided to just go with a white card base; some red, yellow and gold embossing for the images. I'm quite happy that this has a festive feel to it despite not being on a darker backgound.

Fabulous Friend
Hi Again,
I wanted to make a CAS card for CAS Colours and Sketches because I loved the colors.
The last card I made was not CAS at all so I grabbed another stamp and colored it. This one from Altenew - Everlasting Happiness.

Sending a Smile
Hello -
Another crafty face time today after very little sleep. Another new stamp, this from Stamping Bella because, well I love the gnomes. This one is called Gnome Bouquet. And I am sending it over to If You Give A Crafter a Cookie.
I used copics to color the image and added some white gel dots to some petals. It took me longer to color this than I like to spend, but its such a cute stamp.

Hello -
One of my favorite new stamp sets is the new cat stamp from MFT....Cat-astrophe. The sentiments are cute, the accessories are cute and the cats have the cutest expressions! I'm just loving these mischevious furbabies.
I made a few more cards after coloring all the images. I have a couple of images left, but these three are my favorites.

Happy Dads Day
Hello -
I confess...I still have new unused stuff in my bin and I went shopping. However, I did make it through 3/4's before I caved. Purple onion has such cute summer scene stamps and I thought they would be cute for Father's Day.
The images were stamped and copic colored. Some inking added for the background. Neither of the Dad's fish to my knowledge, but the images are cute so I went with it.
I am sending this clean and layerd card to The Card Concept and Watercooler Wednesday.

Hello-
This card was inspired by two challenges: Uniko May June and The Flower Challenge - Navy + one other color.
I grabbed one of my favorite flower stamps, Uniko's Daisy.
A bit of all over second generation stamping with the bold daisy and then white embossed on vellum with copic coloring on the back side for the single profile bloom. A small white strip to add a sentiment and a resting place for that bloom was added to the focal panel and all were mounted onto a blue cardbase.

Cool as You
Hello---
It sure is feeling like summer all of a sudden around here. Its warm and humid...ugh. I'll be thinking that alot this summer. I do miss the dry heat of the California desert in June. Once July hits it is just hot doesn't matter if it is dry or not!
I have more than a handful of July birthdays, and here is one for the stash. It was inspired by Seize the Birthday - All about Summer, Watercooler Wednesday-All about occasions, and Tic Tac Toe - Summer, Scene, Free (used inking).
I made a one-layer card stamping and coloring directly on my cardbase. I started out with a large open circle stencil and taped my card to it. I stamped then masked the penguin, then stamped and masked the tree all while the stencil was in place. Then I added ink to the interior of the circle while the masks were in place. After removing the masks I colored the images and added a sentiment.
Thanks much for visiting...keep cool!

Twofer Card Challenge 28
Time for another challenge at the Twofer Card Challenge.
This month's prompt is:
Before starting know the rules:
I always start with choosing my stamp, die or stencil.
For the first time I am choosing a stencil set -
Newton's Nook Designs Bokeh Stencil set.
For the first time I am choosing a stencil set -

My next step is to draw some sketches:
Here are my cards:
Here are the cards individually with details.
I taped off a square area on my card panel and began
inking in a bokeh effect. Once it was colored to my satisfaction,
I added a simple sentiment.

For my second card, I randomly traced the insides of several
of the circles on the bokeh stencil set. I then colored them in either aqua
shades or red shades. A white heat embossed sentiment on
black cardstock added the final touch.

Face Time Crafting
Hello-
Peggy and I spent 3.5 hours on facetime today, crafting...specifically coloring for me...die-cutting and coloring for Peggy.
We have a good rapport having crafted together in person for several years. So I am happy that it's close to normal doing it via face time...we both miss the hugs and the swapped baked goods...but it is the time together that counts.
I finally made my June calendar page...I'm so glad I added the white dots...it was meh before that little addition. Now I like it.
The stamp is a petuna sprig from IO. #L16429 I think it is going to go live with Peggy. I did not have fun coloring it. It might have been the colors I chose...the orientation I stamped it...who knows. In anycase, it'll get more love in Maine.
The rest of the cards I made today are for challenges, they are thank you's to retailers who have gone the extra mile for me...be it with an extra stamp, an overnighted catalog, making a price correction in my favor, or sending along a prize pack.
The Card Concept - My clean and simple card was inspired by the lei of yellow blooms along the edge of the table.

May CCC
Greetings:
The Card Chain Challenge has reached a milestone. There have now been 3000 cards made and mailed amongst the participants. To celebrate that milestone, this month's reveal is a bloghop.
If you haven't stopped by the challenge blog yet click the daisy above and see what Gail and Iona have in store to celebrate this milestone.
My card for the April Card Chain Challenge is below. This challenge is all about making a card with a choice of several prompts, and mailing it off so that the recipient gets it by the end of the month. You in turn will receive a card by month's end as well. The current sign up can be found here.
I had a lot of fun playing with these layering pears from Sunny Studio's Fruit Cocktail set. This month I chose two of the themes Repetition and Fruit.
Thanks so much for visiting.
