Hello-

How is it May is almost here? Time is flying by.

The theme at Time Out is spring, and I am sharing this lil bouquet in the gallery.

The flowers are from MFT, the wrap die is from MFT, the oval is from NND and the string and bow are from PPP.  I have feeling I am going to be die cutting lots of little blooms.

 Hello-

Today I am sharing a card I made as part of a collaborative blog post with Hilary from Fiddling About

Hilary is from England, and she is one of the nicest people I've met through crafting. I am so lucky to call her my friend. She makes lovely cards, several of which decorate my crafty space. Hilary is on several design teams, and if you haven't popped by her blog before take this opportunity to see her projects.

For our projects we both used the Hero Arts Museum Frame fancy die and at least one stencil on our projects, other than those two must haves we were free to design and create our cards.

I used cloud and grass stencils and die cut and colored crocus dies.

This is what I came up with:

I can't wait to see what Hilary did, join me and hop on over to her blog.

Thanks for visiting.

 Hey There -

I am still trying to play with new stuff, as my bin is beyond full.  Today, I took out The Greetery's Spring Mix stamp, stencil and dies to make cards.  My thoughts are if you are going to use a layered stencil you might as well stencil several while you have the inks and brushes out.

I'll be sending some of these cards to The Card Concept, The Sisterhood of Crafters, and Addicted to Stamps.  All are the same design, different card bases and differing sentiments.

The above card is visiting :

After cutting the panel first, and then layering the inks on by stencil and blending brush, I tried one where I stenciled first then cut out the panel. I much preferred the stenciling then cutting approach.

Thanks much for visiting.

 Hello-

ITs a bit of a drab day here...but that makes for a perfect combination of laundry and crafting time.

I started out with a card for the new Newtons Nook Challenge - Birthday Theme.

A birthday card that saves the "Happy Birthday" for the inside sentiment.  These cuties in the flower pot are from a recent release (Newton's Blooms), I had to have them...so cute and mischievous. The set has a matching die.  I set them atop a couple of pieces of coordinating patterned papers and added a hand trimmed sentiment, also from the stamp set. A few matching mini pearls and the card is done.

 Thanks so for visiting.

 Hello-

The sun is shining today and I have my window open.  It's almost 80 outside, and about 70 inside. Today is yellow day...I have three cards with yellow; one each for Colorful Options, CAS on Friday, and Day of the Month Club.

First up for Colorful Options, I had to make those SSS crocus' in yellow. Crocus come in several colors including pink, yellow, purple, orange and white.

I wanted those blooms to really stand out.

Next up for California Poppy Day at Day of the month club...

This is an older Technique Tuesday stamp. I colored with copics. ITs really a lovely orangey yellow IRL.

And For CAS on Sunday had a sketch. I used some DSP from Stamping up. One bit for the square and the daffodil was cut from another sheet. A few gold bits of bling and that is it.

Below are the graphics for the various challenges.

 Hello Again-

Another set of new dies, gifted to me from Peggy. The set is one of Hero Arts looking glass sets along with the fancy frame.  To this I added an oldie but goodie stamp Birthday Background from MFT.

My inspiration for design was Die Cut Diva's.  I chose the top row of the board:

At least 2 layers not counting base ( I have 4)

Bling/ Glitter (that frame sparkles IRL)

Red

I cut the scene dies from white paper and colored with copics limiting myself to primarys red, blue yellow and kept each layer mostly one color using the other two colors only for highlights on subsequent layers. The bottom layer was adhered flat to the card front - gold glitter paper, then the first scene (red pennants) was also glued flat to the gold layer. The blue pennant layer was popped up with foam as was the yellow pennant layer.  The red glitter frame was glued flat to the yellow layer.  I love the depth this card got and since I used very thin foam 1/16 inch the card is still very mail-able.

 Happy Friday -

Even having been retired for several years...there is still joy waking up on a Friday morning!  I am facetime crafting with Peggy today and I broke out some items from my new stuff bin.  The crocus dies are from SSS, and the background piercing pattern of leaves is from Honey Bee Stamps, the scalloped frame is Winnie and Walter ---I think, that perfectly frilly bow is from The Greetery.

I used wilted violet and peeled paint distress inks for the flowers.  This was inspired by the colors at Color Hues - Purple and Green.  No sentiment, I'll decide later.

I am back...I was on such a roll with getting my March allotment of Christmas cards made, I decided to make April's batch as well.  Which means I am caught up....whoo hoo.

My inspiration for this set is Christmas Kickstart which calls for a gnome.

Thanks so much for visiting...perhaps twice!

 Hello-

I hope that all those that celebrated had a wonderful Easter.  Hubs and I enjoyed the day with a nice meal.

Thanks to Peace on Earth Christmas challenge, with this card I am up-to-date with my Christmas card stash as of the end of March...I still have a week or so to get  the 5 made for April. I am making 5 of each design as I usually do.  Later in the year I make more of the one offs.

The mood board suggested two ideas to me, and as one of the DT used one stamp I was thinking of I decided to use some dies and make some slim line cards with Memory Box's snowflake ornament dies.

I cut the base from gold glitter paper (the snowflakes would never have cut well on glitter paper) and then overlayed the  snowflake layer cut from white. I like the contrast. The sentiment is from SSS and was heat embossed in gold.  The ornament strings are drawn with a gold pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

 Hello-

The man card. My nemesis, and I seem to have more men in our family than women.  Arrrrgggghhh. So I have to make man cards.  I decided a while ago that they would have to be nature cards or in the colors of nature.

A new stamp set to my collection is featured, Paradise Palms from SU. The card will be visiting the galleries of Craft Rocket ChallengesNBUS and We Love Stamping.

Its kind of a different front. The cardbase is the navy blue, its cut short on the front side to show the interior panels of torn paper and a strip of Kraft. The trees were stamped black and clear embossed. I added the inking over the embossed trees to finish the scene. The panel was matted in dark brown, and an aqua blue. The sentiment was added, then the focal panel was adhered to the shortened card front.

 Hello-

After taking a nap, I decided to play with a new stamp set, Giant Bellflower from Altenew.  I also looked at the Altenew Inspiration Challenge for this month and the colors are such fun so it was a no brainer to play along.

I looked up Bellflowers and they come in purple, white, pink and yellow.

I used Altenew inks to stamp the images.
