 Hello-

The man card. My nemesis, and I seem to have more men in our family than women.  Arrrrgggghhh. So I have to make man cards.  I decided a while ago that they would have to be nature cards or in the colors of nature.

A new stamp set to my collection is featured, Paradise Palms from SU. The card will be visiting the galleries of Craft Rocket ChallengesNBUS and We Love Stamping.

Its kind of a different front. The cardbase is the navy blue, its cut short on the front side to show the interior panels of torn paper and a strip of Kraft. The trees were stamped black and clear embossed. I added the inking over the embossed trees to finish the scene. The panel was matted in dark brown, and an aqua blue. The sentiment was added, then the focal panel was adhered to the shortened card front.

Thanks for visiting.

Yay, so nice to see you in the we love stamping gallery and you came up on my commenting number. How wonderful to do something a little different, I love the interest from the shortened card front and the torn edge and your palm tree image is very relaxed and calming. A brilliant male card, I think you are getting the hang of them xx

Same here with the man cards. Thank goodness for all my girlfriends, including online. Love how you did this with the shortened front and manly colors. Nature is the way to go!

There's manly cards and then there's manly cards with lots of interest and you more than excelled at the latter, Cat! I love the design and all that's happening behind the cool palm trees and wonderful blending! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

I have the very same issue with a male dominated number in the family and like you struggle, but I think you nailed it here. Thanks so much for sharing with us at We Love Stamping April challenge.

I so agree with "man cards", Cat, and I've taken your approach to them, too. I love this one with the torn edges - pinning it for future reference!

What a great masculine card Cat, and I'm loving all the layers too! I would have a rough time if I had to make mostly masculine cards, but you seem to be doing just fine...AWESOME card my friend! And thank you so much for the ADORABLE Easter card...that stamp set is on my list for club tomorrow night! Hugs. :0)

Perfect guy card, Cat! The torn edge reminds me of water meeting the sand!

It's a great card and I really like the two tone effect of the card front. It would also fit our masculine challenge theme at Allsorts challenge

For someone who hates doing men's cards, you sure do a great job, Cat! Love the layout and how you've stepped up the simple design with some torn paper. Great colors too!

Oh I feel your pain with "man cards", but you've definitely nailed this one. Makes me want to go on holiday. Such beautiful colours and the torn paper works so well. Mine would just like torn paper! Hope whoever receives it loves it as much as I do x
