Go Bannanas

Hello-

I'm finally getting the cards I made in the last two days posted.  This one is going to two challenges:
Time Out - Playful, and Seize the Birthday (no toppings).

The card is for one of my nephews.  This year all the males are getting punny critter cards.  The ladies will of course get flowers.  The stamp and sentiment come from Clearly Besotted, the die cut tag is from PTI.

Joy

Hello again...yes I am having fun playing tonight.

I missed Christmas Kickstart while I was in California; so I wanted to be sure to play when I got back.

I am using the colors from Color Throwdown for a non-traditional colored card. I think it works.  The theme at CK is add a bunny.

Congratulations

Hello-
Graduation season is upon us.  Hubs and I have nephews that will be graduating.  I own 1 cap stamp and 1 embossing folder.  There are 3 nephews, 1 niece, and 1 Godson that have all had some sort of variation of these tools for their graduation cards.  Others can be seen here and here.

I am submitting this to Freshly made sketches. It really inspired nice use of my supplies.

Sympathy

Hello

Sympathy cards are had to make on demand.  Better to have a few on hand so that it can be quickly mailed.

I usually stick to gray and white, but thought I'd try something more colorful this go round.

I'll be entering at Just Add Ink - Sympathy.

thanks  for popping in.

A little Note

Hello -  I give myself an hour to fall asleep. Tonight it didn't work, so I got up and made a card instead.  That calms me, so maybe I'll be able to go to sleep after I finish posting.

I recently added the darling playful Garden Mice to my stash. The set is by Newton's Nook and it is adorable.

Three challenges provided the inspiration for the card: Inky Paws Challenge- use colored pencils, Timeout Challenge - Playful, and Addicted to Stamps and More- CAS.

April CCC

Hi There~

The sketch and the colors were a bit challenging for me, so I went with the theme of cats.  Though I only used one cat.  As it turned out I sort of used the colors as well!  I added pink to the sign to make it a bit more feminine. The color option was cream, coffee, and platinum.

Thank you

Hello ~

One last card before I head to bed.  I wanted to color some more, that is my happy place.  I found three challenges that I thought would work nicely together.

CAS on Friday - ButterfliesColor Throwdown - Yellow Orange Navy and Green, and Freshly Made Sketches for the design.

An old Favorite Hero Arts Butterfly was stamped and colored with all the colors. I fussy cut the butterfly then popped it up over a copic colored band on the side of the card.  A small sentiment from CTMH under the butterfly, and some clear sequins to add some movement to the card.  I mounted it all onto a navy card base.  I'm quite happy with this one. Thanks to the challenges for the inspiration.

Go Wild

Hello-

After working on the laundry and making meals, I finally got around to setting my crafty space to order. (It was like a cyclone hit after packing and then unpacking on our return home.  One of these days I will leave the house on a trip with a clean crafty space and a made bed. A clean kitchen has priority though!!!)

I looked through a few challenges and decided to play along with Casology - AfricaThe Male Room- Anything Goes, and Seize the Birthday - Texture.

For texture I added nuvo crystal glaze to the binoculars, the giraffe's eyes and the headlights of the jeep.  I also added some dot stippling to the ground for visual texture.

Make a Wish

Hello All~

I'm feeling a bit mojo-less having returned earlier this week from a 2 week visit with my Dad in California.  As I get a bit older I seem to need more time to re-acclimate from traveling.  We returned home in the early hours of Wednesday, and I am still feeling a bit sluggish.

I found three challenges to play in - along with a new stamp set called Dandelion Wishes from CTMH.  I felt the joy of a 7 year old blowing away on a dandelion the moment I saw the stamp set and I knew I had to have it.

I used two slightly different shades of black cardstock, The heat embossed panel has a slight sheen, while the card base is more flat. I thought that might add some dimension to the black on black.

The challenges are: Double D Challenge Black and White,  (new to me) Day of the Month Card Club National Dandelion Day, and Addicted to CAS Contrast.
