Hi There -
Our nephew has a birthday in early July and he is fond of cats. Keeping that in mind I came up with this card.
I used the fireworks from Pretty Pink Posh and Mini Meows from MFT to make this birthday card. I'm not sure a cat would stand still for holding a sparkler, but cards allow for artistic license.
This card is visiting Simon's Wednesday Challenge, and Tic TacToe challenge using the bottom row.
Hello-
I recently got the MFT Butterflies and had a play with them.
Hello There -
I finally got the majority of my clean up done. I have a clear path to my new desk and the clutter I had let build up on tables infront of my shelving has all been dealt with. I still have to tackle the closet and a corner near the closet...but those are July projects.
To reward myself for my efforts I had a face time crafty session with Peggy. Its been fun to create with almost 3 feet of horizontal space. I had been working in a 12x18 space for a long time. Today I spread out my mess!
This card will play at: Watercooler Wednesday, Cupcake Inspiration, Tic Tac Toe and NBUS.
Thanks so much for visiting.
Hello -
Another check-in in with no card. My crafty space is a disaster. I've reached the why the heck did I start this project?
Most of the last 6 days has been taken over by avoiding it looking at new desk solutions and new curtains.
This project has been complicated by 5 large boxes of stuff my Dad sent me from California. Some of it needs to be incorporated into storage in my crafty space. So not much progress was made on my room.
I did spend time making space for the desk by taking out the old work tables, the drawer units under them and every bit of "stuff" I have stuffed into any available space.
The desk showed up 4 days early YAY, and the curtains arrived today. So hubs and I put the desk together and hung up the curtain. It feels so much more open in here already. (Despite 5 foot high piles of stuff on most of the floor.)
I am happy to have the desk and curtains in place and my laptop available again.
Pics of each side of the L Shaped desk, and my beloved whimsical curtain.
So, I'll check in again in a week...maybe even with a finish...well a gal can dream - Right?
Hi-
I’ve been in a creative funk the last few months. I have lots of new stuff to play with, the new goodies bin is almost stuffed to capacity. As are my stamp bins, die bins, paper bins etc.
I’ve been wanting to reduce my inventory—many items I won’t use again. Yesterday I filled flat rate boxes and posted them to a Facebook group and all 5 boxes sold in 10 minutes. Clearly the price was right. Each box had 30+ stamps, dies, a few punches and embossing folders. No paper no stickers just hardware.
Now my die holder is lighter with room to flip through. I might be able to get all my sentiment stamps into one bin now and my critters which are jammed packed can take over the extra sentiment bin.
As a result of this upheaval, I’ve decided to reorganize the entire room so everything fits into the shelving units and I can get rid of the row of tables in front of the shelves holding stuff and hiding stuff underneath.
So I will be absent from blogland for a week or so— I’m giving it 3-4 hours a day starting tomorrow.
Wish me luck!
Hello-
Today I pulled out a new stamp set, new dies and a new stencil. They are all from MFT. The stamps are High Flying Adventure along with matching dies, and the slimline cloud stencil.
I stamped 3 of the airplanes and 1 critter along with sentiments from CTMH, and a banner die from Newtons Nook to provide the greeting banner flying behind the airplanes. Two are going to the Dads and one is for my Godson's birthday. He wants to get his pilots license so I thought this would be fun. I liked the design so much after the first, that the other two followed.
The cards are visiting 3 Challenges - Seize the Birthday, Watercooler Wednesday and The Male Room.
First for Seize the Birthday: with toppings, there are wheels on the airplane.
Hello-
If you have never played along with the Card Chain Challenge, its a make one get one challenge that is world wide. You sign up, make a card and send it and you'll also get one in return. If you'd like to sign up visit The Card Chain Challenge.
This card is going to Arlene in California. I decided to use both techniques as my card design choices this month. The card base is embossed with a folder. The focus panel is colored with watercolors, and then some embossing powder was dribbled on and heated in various places. To finish it off a die cut flower was stacked 3 high and the center of the flower was gold heat embossed. After adhering it to the water color panel a string bow was added. This panel was then adhered to the card base with foam tape.
I decided against a sentiment.
Thanks for visiting.
Hi There-
I grabbed a few minutes in my crafty space to make a card. This is the busy week that I help hubs with his business, so I snuck away for a bit.
This card is visiting The Card Concept and Addicted to Stamps and More.
I did some stamping and masking to set up my lil ocean scene. The stamps are from Clearly Besotted. The dies are from The Greetery and Sizzix. The images were copic colored. The panel was die cut and mounted with foam tape on a round card base. It is folded at the top and has a wee bit cut from the back so that it stands up.
