December Bizarre Day

Hi There:

December brings the 12th installment of my Bizarre and Unique Days cards.

December 20th is Go Caroling Day. 

This stamp joined my stash last year after the holidays, so it is well past time for it to be inked up.

The background is sponged with distress oxide inks; and the coloring is done with alcohol markers.

November Bizarre Day

Hello Again -

November's Bizarre Day is November 21st - World Hello Day.  Since I need many many more Christmas cards, I chose a Christmas Hello which fits my world right now.

The poinsettia is from EH, the hello die is W&W, the smaller sentiment is from MFT and the yellow gems are from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm taking a small break through the end of the month for the Thanksgiving holiday and will be back in December with the remainder of my Christmas cards...as they get made!  Lol.

October Bizarre Day

Well I've stuck with the bizarre day monthly post 10 months now so the last three should be a breeze.

This month I've chosen Frappe Day October 4th. While I have used this Ellen Hutson set before, this is the first inking of the Frappe image.

September Bizarre Day

Hi There -

Another entry in my monthly Bizzare Day series.  This one is for September 21st International Gratitude Day; heading into fall it seemed the perfect day for a card project.

This new to me Concord and 9th stamp had been on my wishlist quite a while. As fall was approaching I bought it.  I decided that if waiting over a year it still pulled at me - it was a good purchase.

I'm also going to submit this to Words to Craft By,

June Bizzzare Day

Hi there!

This month my bizarre day card is going to hubs.  Its June 19th and its Kissing Day.  He doesn't get a lot of cards from me anymore since we are living together and not separated by the continental US.  So I think he'll enjoy the surprise.

May Bizarre Day

Hello -

May's bizarre day is May 16th - Love a  Tree day.  I do love trees. I love them all year round - when its stark and cold in winter, when they are full  of color in fall, when they are lush and green in summer and mostly in the spring when some of them bloom.

I love both the cherry blossoms and the magnolias - my two favorite springtime flowering trees.  This card is was inspired by them.  I followed the AI Watercolor Wednesday video for placement. 


After about 5 years, my crafty space is finally set up and organized in a way that makes it feel open and friendly for crafting.  I've been putting it together piecemeal deciding what I do like and what I don't.  This space also holds my "office" where I help out hubs.  This final push included doubling plus my shelving, purging things I had stuffed away in every nook and cranny, and organizing so I can just look and know what is where.  I thought I would share a photo.  Its a panoramic shot and has a bit of distortion on the right side.

My window is west facing, and gives me light most of the day. I am on the second floor - outside that window is a stand of trees - a small woods and a bird feeder.  I often get side tracked by the squirrel antics, the birds, and the hopeful yet unsuccessful cats stalking both the birds and squirrels.
