I tried foiling the other day...I had a learning curve, but eventually got it. So I wanted to try it again.
I had some of my alcohol inked yupo left over and I cut some leaves using Lawn Fawn's stitched leaves. Then I using a glue pen with a roller ball I added glue to the veins. After it dried (it becomes tacky when dry) I added foil over the top of the veins. The sentiment comes from Winnie and Walter and was gold heat embossed. I used a stitched coverplate to add some interest and texture to the card front, mounted the leaves and the sentiment strip and that finished the card.
This card is going to CAS Mix UP and If You Give a Crafter a Cookie.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Very cool technique!
Another awesome foiling card, Cat! I love how you've used the foil to enhance the veining on the leaves! Thanks so much for sharing with us again at CAS Mix Up!
I don't use my minc enough. I guess I never got the full hang of it. Here you just pressed the foil onto the areas where you wanted it (where the lines of glue were) so that seems easier to me than taking out the machine, blah, blah, blah! LOL Very handsome card, Cat.
Beautifully done, Cat! Love the foiled veins!
lovely leaves, Cat - and the stitched background goes perfectly with the falling leaves!
These leaves are just gorgeous and they work so well with that background. You have been so busy the last few days, I can't keep up. Hope it doesn't mean you are having trouble sleeping again xx
So pretty, I really like the wood grain coverplate. Keeps it cas but really cute too!
Wow, that's absolutly amazing!! Noble leaves on a perfectly designed CAS card.
What a fabulous card and the foiling looks amazing x
Your insistence paid off, another beautiful card. The dry embossing is perfect for this beauty.

Your autumn leaves are gorgeous with the gold foil veins. There's nothing like foiling ... it really stands out and adds lots of shine ... and elegance. Beautiful maple leaves, Cat! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
