Make a Wish

Hello All~

I'm feeling a bit mojo-less having returned earlier this week from a 2 week visit with my Dad in California.  As I get a bit older I seem to need more time to re-acclimate from traveling.  We returned home in the early hours of Wednesday, and I am still feeling a bit sluggish.

I found three challenges to play in - along with a new stamp set called Dandelion Wishes from CTMH.  I felt the joy of a 7 year old blowing away on a dandelion the moment I saw the stamp set and I knew I had to have it.

I used two slightly different shades of black cardstock, The heat embossed panel has a slight sheen, while the card base is more flat. I thought that might add some dimension to the black on black.

The challenges are: Double D Challenge Black and White,  (new to me) Day of the Month Card Club National Dandelion Day, and Addicted to CAS Contrast.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Lovely card! The two black cardsocks are different. The ladies at my craft group all love this stamp. I already have a dandelion so I didn’t pick this one up.

Welcome home, Cat! You're not alone in feeling jet lag longer as you get older. In spite of that, you created a striking and memory-evoking winning design! I love the look and dimension of the two shades of black! Hope your circadian rhythm returns to normal soon!! Hugs, Darnell

I've always said "There's black, and then there's black." The two look great with the contrast of the lacy white dandelion, Cat.
