Happy Birthday Rose Cluster

Hello-

I've been wanted to play with this Paper Smooches die, I have had it for at least a month.

I die cut it 3 times, retaining two outlined and one full die cut.  Luckily one of the cuts stayed intact. I quickly added tape to the back so the pieces remained seated.  I colored with red and green and blue wink of stella markers.  I added 1 out line layer, filled the colored spaces with some glaze, then added the final outline layer.  I love this stained glass look.

 The stage for the bouquet is created from a partial stamping of the radiating dots background stamp from MFT.

AAA 143 Less is More 398 and Anything Goes at Paper Smooches

Hello-

My design is inspired by AAA Cards - One Corner with the optional twist of flowers and Less is More One Layer card with spots and of course the sweet image from Paper Smooches which is going to Paper Smooches July Anything Goes Challenge.  As soon as I saw the little lady bug on the rose leaf I knew this was my image for the challenges.

I stamped the image and sentiment from Rosy Posy in onyx black ink. Once dry, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.  I do hope that lady bug qualifies as my spots!

Happy Anniversary

One of my crafty friends is having an anniversary...so I whipped up a quick card using the adorable bird couple from the new Paper Smooches Feathered Friends set.

I admit I went a little overboard with the bling dots, but they are so tiny and well it is a celebratory card!

Last of my September Paper Smooches Guest Designs

My Last post as September's Guest Designer at Paper Smooches.  I am so thankful to Kim for this opportunity, and hope I have shown off her wonderful stamps and dies to their advantage.

I used the die set Super Star Dies, and sentiments from My Guy.  I thought this would be the most challenging for me...but once I thought about it, it came fairly easily. I love that that big star can be cut with or without the face.  There are a bunch of star dies on this one.

Paper Smooches Way to Go

I am up again at the Paper Smooched Blog as September's Guest Designer.  This week I am showcasing the Arrow Dies...they are seriously cool, the tails have separate pieces that fold up and make them 3D.  I also used a sentiment from an older Paper Smooches set Sentiment Sampler.

There are actually 3 different Arrows, I used only two as I wanted a masculine feel for this, the third arrow has a heart shaped tip, and I thought that might be a bit too feminine for this card.  I almost put DUDE under the way to go...but I held off.

Guest Designer Post at Paper Smooches

I was so thrilled to have been chosen to Guest Design at Paper Smooches for the month of September.  Kim generously sent along stamps, matching dies, and several stand-alone dies.  I have several Paper Smooches dies,  and stamps already in my stash, and it was fabulous to have these additions to play with and guest design.

My posts will be going up each Wednesday in September.  I sure hope you stop by each week to see what I've made.

Here is my first card:

This is from Feathered Friends. There is this sweet little flower amongst all the birds. I also have the Paper Smooches mirror blocks, so I could stamp the flower tilting both ways.  The sentiment is from Word Salad.

Maryland Greetings

Hi There!

I am playing with Paper Smooche's Chubby Chum Pals stamp set.  Specifically the crab.  He is adorable. Maryland is famous for its Blue crabs.  Best. Crab. Cakes. Ever...though the San Francisco Dungeness crab cakes are mighty fine too.  We even have a local baseball team named for the Blue Crab.

The supporting supplies are the Maryland stamp set from CTMH, a greetings stamp set also from CTMH, a stampendous newsprint background stamp, a pretty pink posh die and some googly eyes.  The challenge at The Male Room is to make a masculine card with Red, Blue and one other color that is not a neutral.  I chose yellow naturally (I love yellow). 


So, I spent more time hunting for the googly eyes and a stamp that simply said "Greetings" than putting together this card. None of my season's greetings stamps have a smaller font!  I think that word should be added to many stamp sets that are a collection of single words! If ya know any stamp designers...pass it on!

Possibilities

I am playing with more stuff out of my bin of newly purchased items. Some have been sitting for a couple of months.  Since I have reorganized things, it is easier for that bin of new items to be seen.

After taking a peek at my list of saved challenges, this card came together very quickly.  But I am two for two tonight on being late for challenge posting.  I used the sketch at (now closed)  Freshly Made Sketches, and the prompt at Less is More - Tactile.  My tactile pieces are the flowers cut from fun foam.
