Twofer Card Challenge 28

Time for another challenge at the Twofer Card Challenge.

This month's prompt is:

Before starting know the rules:

I always start with choosing my stamp, die or stencil.
For the first time I am choosing a stencil set -
Newton's Nook Designs Bokeh Stencil set.

My next step is to draw some sketches:

Here are my cards:

Here are the cards individually with details.

I taped off a square area on my card panel and began
inking in a bokeh effect. Once it was colored to my satisfaction,
I added a simple sentiment.

For my second card, I randomly traced the insides of several
of the circles on the bokeh stencil set.  I then colored them in either aqua
shades or red shades. A white heat embossed sentiment on
black cardstock added the final touch.

So what will you do this month with circles or bubbles?
Looking forward to seeing your entries at Twofer Card Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

The soft bokeh is wonderfully dreamy, Cat ... what a great sense of depth you created! Those bubbles of colour on your birthday card are so fun and celebratory ... I'm thinking champagne ... or other similar fizzy yumminess! Hugs, Anita :)

Two nice simple cards. I particularly like the card with the bokeh technique.

What fun twofer's! I so love the bokeh look on the first one, so fun and such beautiful colors you used. Your birthday card with the bubbles is so festive and fun! Great way to use a stencil by tracing it. Love that! Hugs, Brenda

I like the bright circles on the birthday card, but the bokeh card stole my heart. I love the soft colors and the simple, clean design

Two great circle designs, Cat! I love the dreamy bokeh-filled square in those wonderful soft colors! Your birthday card circles have great movement, and again I love the colors!

Two AWESOME cards Cat! Your Bokeh card is fabulous and I love how it's just a one layer card and how you taped off the square to keep the design just inside the square! Your all over circle card is amazing too and totally makes my eyes roam all over the whole card...love it! You aced this challenge my friend! Hugs. :0)

How cool that there are bokeh stencils! I've never had much luck with that technique, so I'm happy to hear about them and see what a great bokeh design can be made! Your card is gorgeous, Cat, and it has awesome depth considering it's nearly one-layer. I also love your colorful bubbly birthday card! It reminds me of the little jars of bubbles that you blow and watch float off into the air! Take care! Hugs, Darnell

So. First of all, I love that you publish your sketches for your cards; they really show the totally different designs you're going to use and are a great example to our players! And of course, your cards are amazing. Oh that bokeh!! Such gorgeous colors and they look like they could be colored glass bubbles just floating. And oh, you traced the insides of the stencil??? I'd make a mess of that in a heartbeat, lol! Your birthday card turned out beautifully. Love this duo! Have a great week. Bev

There's something special about each of these awesome cards, Cat. I love the colors and softness of the first card, and the way you traced and colored the bubbles on the second card. I have probably the same stencil set and have never traced and colored like that. I love it!

Love these floating circles in two different sketches. One has them more spaced out and the other with the Bokeh look and touching each other.
