Its rainy outside but not too cold. Its a day for soup, napping and of course card making. Today I am sliding in at the last moments (sorry to the DT's) to two challenges -
Inspired By Challenges (Image below) and Case this Sketch (Sketch Below). The two came together for me once I found some xoxo patterned paper. It was a bit bold so I over-layed it with a piece of vellum and then piled my mum's on top. I think flowers are great for a Valentine, it doesn't always have to be hearts.
How are your Valentine's coming? I've limited myself to 20 this year and I am getting close.
Thanks for visiting.

great card for both challenges, Cat - vellum over the pp is such a good idea to tone down the color.
The vellum on top does soften your card and is perfect for those beautiful Mums....A very beautiful card x.
A beautiful non traditional valentine. I think this could be made into an all occasion card set by just using different papers.
Absolutely beautiful card! (Perfect for valentine’s)
20 Valentines? I admire that so much! I love making Valentines and last year I did my best, but so soon after Christmas I have a hard time being that dedicated. I agree that Valentines do not need to include a heart, especially when they're as pretty as this!
Wonderful colors, textures, composition!
Beautifully done, Cat! Those flowers are so wonderful & I agree that flowers are great for Valentines! You're sending way more Valentines than I am--20 is a lot! Lucky friends, for sure!
So pretty, Cat ... by adding the vellum over the pp you really made those lovely blooms shine! Here, Saint Valentine's Day is for lovers only (for example husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends) ... so any more than one would be a smidge over the top!! Hugs, Anita :)
Such a beautiful card! Thank you for playing at Inspired By.
