I had a few of the Japanese Mum flowers left over from my Mother's Day card and I decided to make a few more cards for birthdays.
This time I was inspired to complete the card by the mood board from Double D Challenges. The upper right corner image specifically caught my eye. The texture of the hat reminds me of the lattice die I've used.
The next card uses a stamped vase on the card base, with the two blooms added on top. The bigger front bloom is popped up on foam dots. The mum stamp set has no stems so I just drew some in with the copic markers and outlined them in black for continuity with the other images.
Thanks for visiting!

two more fab cards with those lovely pink mums, Cat!
I saw your stunning Mother's Day card yesterday, Cat, but didn't have time to comment. I've come back to do that and see that you have added two more equally stunning Japanese mum designs to the blog! You are such an inspiration when it comes to using your schtuff, design ideas, and coloring! I love that lattice die!! Hugs, Darnell
Keep them coming, Cat... LOve those beautiful 'mums' - could there be a more perfect bloom on Mother's Day? Gorgeous in that vase - clever girl to grow your own stems!

The lattice in the background really sets of the flowers in pink! Another great job with the mum stamp!
Really gorgeous cards & so creative, Cat! I have that lattice die & need to get it out as it's one of my favorites! The overlapping mums in the vase are really spectacular!
Both cards are just beautiful! Fabulous coloring ... really pop! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Kentucky Derby Inspiration’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
