HI There ~
Another year of the Card Chain Challenge has kicked off with so many choices. There are 6 colors to mix and or match, a sketch, themes, and products or techniques to use in your card. To see them call click here.
My card is going to Denise in California. I hope she likes it. I love it and it might be hard to mail...lol. I better do it quickly before I have second thoughts and let it set up permanent residence here.
I had a left over panel from some ink blending I did earlier for another challenge -- thou I deliberately picked colors from the options for this exchange. Distress Oxide inks in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers and Broken China. It was a very rough blending, and I love the marbled look.
I added a black double layerd and clear embossed diecut Magic Flower from Alexandra Renke sent to me by my friend Betty. I tried white first but it looked a bit bland.
The black added drama...maybe a bit too much so I softened it with a teal ribbon. The juxtaposition of that edgy flower die and the sweetly tied ribbon make me smile. No sentiment for this one - that background needs to shine.
Thanks for stopping by.

Your card is a beauty, Cat! I'm so glad your left it 'sentiment free' too, Jo x
These colours are right up my alley and I think the black is just the right level of drama - lovely card!
I just love that background, it sets off the heat embossed die beautifully xx
This is so pretty Cat,
The black adds a pop on these background colors. Looking good!
Lucky Denise! I can see why you had trouble mailing this one, Cat! That background with the marbeling look is really gorgous & I love the addition of the bow!
Love the drama of the black bloom against that luscious background, Cat ... the ribbon adds a fabulous touch of softness to the ensemble! Hugs, Anita :)
