Hello!
This Amaryllis never made it to the front of a Christmas card, but I think it makes a stunning Christmas thank you. After coloring the image (Penny Black) I cut it out to fit on top of a die cut piece of red vellum.
I mounted it on a quilt cut card base and added the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
I think my friend will enjoy the card as much as I am enjoying her gift.
Thanks for stopping by!

So rich and gorgeous, Cat ... fabulous colouring ... love how the background 'quilting' mimics the edges of the red vellum! Your friend will certainly enjoy receiving this beauty! Hugs, Anita :)
What a lovely combination, Cat! The background sets off the gorgeous flowers perfectly!
Absolutely gorgeous, Cat--love your coloring & that quilted background!
You thought right, Cat! Your beautiful amaryllis does make an excellent Christmas thank you card! The red vellum makes your flower pop and the quilted framing is perfect!! Hugs, Darnell
How gorgeous! LOve your beautifully colored Amaryllis.
Have you ever grown one? I'm always tempted but have no luck with 'house plants.'

definitely the PERFECT xmas thank you... such a beautifully composed card, each element is JUST RIGHT! ♥
A lovely thank you, indeed! I am trying to embrace my winter-themed supplies as much as possible as it's so hard to transition from Christmas!
A very pretty card. Your coloring on the flowers is perfect.
