California Poppy

Hello!

My first cardmaking stamps all came from Hero Arts, and the Delicate Blossom set will always be a favorite. I have embossed and watercolored it, just stamped it and lately I am loving it as a no line (or vary faint line) coloring project.   The set has two images; I color and use the larger open flowers most, see this example.

Two challenges provided the inspiration for this card, Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Fabulous Florals (using HA products) and Case this Sketch...I did take a might bit of a liberty with the sketch.

Colored with Copics, spectrum sparkle pen, some ink blending with a clarity brush

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simply beautiful, Cat .. love how you kept that delicious scripty die cut sentiment white to allow these gorgeous blooms to shine! Just had a fabulous time checking out all your posts and cards from while I was MIA in blogland ... what a gorgeous collection! I was especially taken with all the florals from your class (thanks for the recommendation ... Therese is awesome!) ... with the colouring book cards (especially at that time in the morning!) ... and with those crisp, fresh, die cut hello's for your GD spot at ATCAS ... congratulations on the honour! Bon dimanche! Hugs, Anita :)

Cat this is just incredible! You are getting better and better at the nearly-no-line coloring! I saw our Sketch right away ... take all the liberties you'd like! xx

Cat, what a lovely take on the sketch!
The white die-cut sentiment works beautifully with the design.
