Hello~
Today's card staring Gladys, the Flamingo from Sizzix's line of colorize thinlets took me again hours to to put together. Still getting used to where all is. She is visiting Triple B's July challenge.

I have to say I was not overly thrilled with all the bits and pieces in this die.
I thought it was delightful that not only was the die reference number etched on the back but color selections were as well. The suggestions were pink1, pink2, pink3, black, brown and yellows 1 & 2.
I also appreciate the clean edges on the dies. Nothing to cut apart and leave little pointy pokey bits.
I used copics to color all the bits except for the black pieces.
- Stamps:MFT Brush Spatter BG; PB Special Sentiments
- Dies:Gladys-Sizzix; SU Tasteful Labels; SU Scalloped Contours
- Inks: SU Strawberry Slush, Versafine Black
- Markers: Copic Y2,6; R20,21,32; E37
- Papers: Hammemrmill, SU Strawberry Slush
- Embellishments: SU Starburst Sequins
Thanks much for visiting.

Gladys may have been a difficult gal to work with, but she was worth it! This is fun, Cat and a terrific way to send birthday wishes. I agree with you on those pokey bits, they're a pain!
Yay, and congrats! You put Gladys back together again... sometimes all those bits and no idea what order to do it in can be difficult but you excelled, Cat! She looks awesome in her
pretty in pink" attire
Great job tying together the inspiration images - cute card!
I'm still trimming those 'pointy pokey bits' from a lot of older sets! I need to get my dental lab technician to get his little grinder out quite often!
I love that you've used your time to piece Gladys together, Cat - she is fabulous!
=]
Gladys was worth the extra time and perseverance Cat...she's ADORABLE and I am totally in love with her face! (She's crackin' me up over here!!!) Sweet, sweet card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
I love these colorize dies and this one is absolutely fabulous! The small parts are fiddly, but they turn out so cool! You did a fantastic job and I just want to sit here and admire it for a minute longer, sigh.
I think Gladys is spectacular. I am glad you took the time to figure her out. Love those splatters too xx
This is such a fun flamingo, Cat! Good job of getting all those pieces in the right place! She does look like a Gladys and sure to make everyone smile!
