 Hello-

I spent the afternoon playing with Gladys again...after some trauma last night.  I had lost the die pieces for the eyes. They were tiny tiny pieces.  Long story short...hubs is my hero. He dug out bags from the trash can at the curb (today was pick up day) and after searching through three craft room trash bags, I found the dies attached to a piece of washi.  I stress about things like that, and likely would not have been able to sleep.  I want my 50 year old brain back...she could multitask and let things go. She also slept.  Ah well getting older isn't for weaklings.

In any case, I have a card for Cupcake Inspirations where the brief is For the Birds.

I spent a bit of time putting Gladys together, so I needed a quick landing space for her.  This gifted cardstock is heavy weight and I love the colors.  I made 4, but am only posting one.

Thanks so much for visiting.

I think the hubs deserves a special dinner of dessert for his valiant efforts LOL! What a guy. Gladys looks pleased as punch too. Great card, Cat!

Another darling Gladys card, Cat! So lucky hubs found your eye dies - I have dropped dies on carpet & never saw them again (even running a magnet around)!!

Gladys is a beauty, Cat!! And what a great hubby you have to search for those tiny eyes!! Love how this beautiful paper shows off how sweet Gladys is. Great cards! xx

Glad you found all of Gladys' parts -- what's a girl to do without all her parts?! She's still fun, and your paper made a great landing spot (or should I say "standing" spot). A shoutout to your hubby who was willing to go dumpster diving for you!

Your card make me smile and your search operation. Glad you found her eyes. It's unimaginable if she had to go through life blind...

Looks terrific on that background. No matter my age, I lose it when I lose something! I've lost and found dies, and I've permanently lost them as well (and stamps!).

Gladys is looking great and very pleased to have her eyes back. I am also pleased to see that I did get her name right. Wonders will never cease. That background works really well xx

I totally get where you are with the tiny dies. I have done that before myself. It is frustrating. This card is STUNNING!!! I love that flamingo and your background ROCKS! Thank you for playing with us this week at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

Oh, dear Cat! I did the same just recently, but the trash never made it as far as the curb. If it had I would have been doomed. Luckily I found the escaped pieces in my craft room wastebasket. Your guy deserves a medal! I'm thinking you deserve one, too, for making four of Gladys. I know how time consuming it must have been, but she's so beautiful, especially those Betty Davis eyes. What a relief that they were found! I love her landing space, too. When you have a piece as perfect as this there is no sense in looking further.

Wow, that is a loving husband, Cat! But those eyes couldn't be replicated with any other dies!! LOve this feathered friend - and man do I love your background paper! That might be a blended ink on kraft paper challenge!

Eyes are sure hard to keep up with and I bet Gladys is as happy as you are that your hubby is a prince of search and rescue! A great background shows Gladys off in all her glory!
