I have become enamored of my embossing folders again. There are so many cards out in blogland with embossed panels with a touch of color added to the raised portions. I decided on that technique for this card which will visit two challenges. Color Hues and Just us Girls.
I used Simon Says Stamp's Floral Field embossing folder on a piece of black cardstock to create the daisies. I added Simon's white pigment ink over the top of the embossed images. To that I added a black shadowed white sentiment die cut, also from Simon Says Stamp. I randomly added 3 black enmamel dots to finish it off. This was a very quick card to put together.
love this card, Cat - just might really "need" that embossing folder!
Wow, that turned out so pretty. And the fact that it didn't take to long is a PLUS! Beautiful card, Cat.
Gorgeous with the embossed black inked in white, Cat - love it!!
Wow .... quick maybe Cat but what a stunning effect and the monochromatic looks so striking x.

Quick and easy but oh so stunning, Cat. That technique has become very popular and I can see why. The white really brings out the details in the embossing folder. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

Gorgeous card! Thank you for sharing with us at Color Hues!
That texture - fantastic! And a wonderful sentiment pairing as well.
Really love the look of this card, Cat! I've been using my folders more often, but not necessarily adding color--need to do that!
It might have been quick to put together, Cat ... but wow, what impact! The texture enhanced by the white ink is brilliant ... what a striking, lovely design! Hugs, Anita :)
So sorry I am a bit late visiting this one, it is beautiful. It certainly does send smiles and what a good idea. I would naturally think of a more sombre sentiment for this, but that would be wrong. I love it xx
I'm glad to see embossing folders making a comeback. This one is amazing and so very pretty with the white daisies on black.
beautiful, Cat! Love the folder, and your white ink is stunning!
