Twofer Card Challenge 25

Hello -

Can you believe its time for another Twofer Card Challenge?  These months are flying by.

And this month's Prompt is:

If you've seen my Twofer Card Challenge design team posts before you'll know I start with my main piece (Stamp, Die, or Stencil).  This month is it is Sweetest Somebunny by MFT.

Next up comes the design, or layout, or sketch to make sure both cards are different.

I seem to digress a bit each time from the sketches by the time I am finished, but still maintain two distinctly different designs.  By moving the sentiment, I though the cards ended up being too similar.

I originally made these cards in November. Now in February, the similarity in the cards is still bugging me, so I made another card and changed up my Twofer from the sketches above.

So there is no sketch for the new card, but here it is in Twofer Style and individually.

Each Card Separately.

2nd Attempt Twofer.

Here are my original Twofers together. They look very similar. The bunny image is just moved and the sentiment remains below the main image. Not distinctly different.

Thanks so much for visiting, and I really want to see your creations in the gallery!

Such a sweet collection of darling bunnies, Cat ... and what a bonus ... there are three cards! Your colouring is soft and dreamy, so perfect with the whimsical style of the images. It's so interesting to read about your process ... and see from your sketches how your adorable designs are different and similar! Hugs, Anita :)

All the cards are wonderful and cute! I think you must hold yourself to an unusually high standard for this challenge. I think the original two for is quite a different design and would be wholly acceptable. But it is better to have 3 cards done than two. Have a great day!

I admire that you sketch this out first. I love those bunnies peeking through the windows at each other with the pretty heart paper behind them. The Easter card is clean and sweet with the focal point on the cute bunny.

love both cards but especially the "friends" one - and yours are the cutest from all of the design team!!

Although your original bunny card in blue is so sweet, I LOVE the 2nd attempt where you have all three peeking out of the windows Cat...that is just the sweetest card ever! And your coloring is GORGEOUS!! And your sweet little CAS Easter card is just ADORABLE too! And now lucky you have THREE cute cards in your stash, so it was a win-win to make another! Great job Cat! Hugs. :0)

They are all three darling designs, Cat, but I see what you mean. I appreciate the clear tips you gave here to help others better understand how easy it is to unconsciously make two similar designs, BUT how easy it ALSO is to make two distinctly different designs with just a little conscious thought as you begin the design process!! You created a sweet scene for your solo brown Easter bunny and I really love your three friend bunnies! Isn't it just the way when you're trying to take a picture and two of your friends can't stop talking on either side of you and look at the camera?! This really makes me chuckle! (I'd be one of the talkers!) Hugs, Darnell

Thank you for sharing your first attempts CAT x. Adorable first card with a sweet little bunny for Easter. I love the design of the second one, which is clearly different from the first x. Wonderful cards, all of them and what fabulous inspiration, thank you x.

No, I can't believe it's time because everything sneaks up on me these days. I've been trying to think what spring animals I have other than digis that I could use. I adore what you came up with! Whether the original or the switch, they're all super cute! I do see the similarity now that you point it out. You're very dedicated to getting it right.

Your cards are really darling, Cat! I love your bunnies and how you changed your design for the challenge! Awesome coloring, too! I'm so tired of the cold weather...come on Spring!!!
Thanks so much for inspiring me to play along, as always :)

I love all three of your cards, Cat! Great catch on the distinctly different designs. Those bunnies are just so precious and your coloring is wonderful! A couple months ago I was photographing my fruit twofer and realized only through the camera lens that they were the same design! I took one apart and came up with a different design, but it can happen even when we're trying to be careful.

So cute! I'm impressed at how far ahead you were working!

You have really brought those darling bunnies to life, Cat. I can see why you made a third card to demonstrate that there needs to be an entirely different design. Your original card is so cute but having the three bunnies together is terrific!

These are 3 wonderful cards and what effort you went to to make a third when you felt your original 2 were too similar. Thanks for sharing that. I love your colouring, it shows how you can make things so different just by changing the colours xx
