Merry Christmas

Hello-

These cards are for the niece, nephews and Godson. They are all over 18 but they still get a little something in their cards.

My Mom, who passed on Christmas Day 2006, refused to put tags on presents under the tree. She was sure I would snoop -- I never did, but I was a great guesser.

To combat that, she wrapped all gifts for me in similar colors and those for my Dad in different similar colors.  As I got older I did the same thing, which explains why I am not much of a tag maker.  So as a tribute to my Mom, all but one of these cards is following the tradition she set on gift wrapping.

Thanks for visiting and Merry Christmas.  I am taking the rest of the month off, see you again in the new year.

Beautiful Christmas presents design, Cat! Thank you for sharing how you made them as a tribute to your Mom and her genius idea for keeping your nose out of the packages!! Merry hugs, Darnell

Brilliance runs in the family I see! Cat, what a wonderful tribute to your Mom! Beautiful, too - I'll bet you had as much fun coloring these packages as she had choosing paper for each of you!!
Enjoy your Christmas in Ohio!
Merry Christmas, my friend - see you in 2020!

Funny story about your mom not putting tags on presents. Would you believe--I was the gift wrapper for the family including my own presents. My folks trusted I wouldn't look inside the boxes & I never did. Lost my dad 10 yrs ago on Christmas. Hard to believe it's been that long ago--still hear his voice & see his face in my mind's eye. Hope you had a lovely Christmas, my dear friend. Your cards for the "kids" are fun & festive--love them!

Now that I have Christmas all taken care of I can do a little visiting. I'm off till the new year, too. I love the story that goes with your cute cards! That sounds like a good idea! I was never a peeker, either, because I didn't want to spoil the surprise, but my brother was another story. Will see you again soon, Cat. Happy new year!
