Christmas Wishes

Hello -

I've been busy making cards and doing a bit of sewing.  Most of the cards are for future design team posts so they'll be posted later on.

Tonight I have a card for Less is More CAS on Friday and Addicted to Stamps and More.

I pulled out PTI's Botanical Blocks IV, and decided to color the poinsettia with pencils on darker cardstock.  I stamped it with versa-mark, colored it in and over-stamped it again with versa-mark for heat embossing.  Funny thing...colored pencils have wax in them so this was not a good idea. The color melted into the card stock when I heat embossed the image.  So I just recolored it.  Lesson learned.

I was just looking at that stamp the other day. Love how you colored it, Cat!

Who knew. I guess i know pencils are wax, but I wouldn’t have thought it would melt so much you would need to redo it. It is pretty!

Elegant! Good info about the color pencils. I bet that melt added some great texture.
