Hi there!
I've missed the last two twofer challenges - the idea machine in my head went on strike. I feared I might miss another one - but at the last minute the strike ended. So I am happy to have cards for this Twofer Challenge.
I've used a Close to my Heart set called Always Grateful. First time inking it up, and I think it will get a fair amount of use now that I have played with it a bit. Its has been a while since those Distress Inks of mine were used for ink blending and I pulled them out today to play.
First up- Ink resist over heat embossed images. Used tea dye and walnut stain.
Next up: masked off side and bottom, inked with shabby shutters and mowed lawn. Stamped over with versafine onyx black. Die cute and adhered to matching card base.
Thanks much for stopping by.

What beauties.
First of all, wow, that gratitude sediment is sensational! So, so true!!! It was the perfect choice for your stately tree wrapped in brilliant shades of green! And great blended warm coloring for your pretty autumn card! Two beauties, Cat! Thank you so much for joining in Twofer Card Challenge #6! I'm glad your Idea Machine returned to work, lol! Hugs, Darnell
Those autumn trees look as though they're glowing, Cat ... your blending is beautiful around them ... and so striking! That's such a wonderful sentiment on your second card ... lovely with the softness of the greens around the single majestic tree! Good to see the strike ended so well!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
So fun to ink up a stamp for the first time, but you are so right, sometimes we reach for the familiar, and I'm glad this will be one of those for you! Your cards are both gorgeous with beautiful ink blending which bring dramatic backgrounds for your trees! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
That is a beautiful stamp & I love how you used it, Cat! The second one is my favorite--love how you blended the ink!
