7-15-24

 Hello from sweltering Maryland.

I so dislike the heat and humidity.  Our A/C is struggling to keep up with 95+ temps and 80+ humidity.

We have all the vents closed downstairs so the cooling comes upstairs.  ITs not working well (88 in my crafty space right now.)

Its no wonder I went where I did using Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge color graphic for their challenge:

I colored the sweet purr-maid with copics.  I used a combo of DOX inks to create my turquoise water.  Right now I want to be in that water with her.

The stamp set is Purr-Maid.

I made a second card today....gotta get back into the groove.  This one is visiting the gallery at Tic Tac Toe.  I went with the upper left to lower right diagonal.

The Altenew Cherry Blossom bunch underwent a mutation; and was colored with Copics, then fussy cut to land on top of an embossed panel of thank yous. I added sparkly gems to round out the card.

Thanks for visiting.

I'd like to be in that water with your purr-maid too! It looks so refreshing! I'm loving these yellow flowers! Such a pretty card, Cat!

Your purr-maid is super cute, Cat and you gave her a great watery background! Pretty yellow blooms too. I like the EF you used. Hope things cool down for you soon!

I have to smile, because it is rather unlikely that a cat would go into the water. But maybe the kitten dreams that it is a mermaid.

Very nice! Love that your beautiful blossoms landed on top of the Thank You embossing folder -- this would be a great addition to The Flower Challenge too

Hi Cat I hope you re not sweltering too much. The humidity turned on in June and has not left for more than a couple of days! Your cards are so lovely! The kitty mermaid is so cute and lovey yellow blooms!

Two terrific creations! The mermaid kitty is adorable and your floral spray is beautifully showcased on the dry-embossed background.

Two cards are easier to make than one, I always say! Looks like you had the right idea to help you and your little mermaid cool off, Cat!
And a bonus of yellow and grey? Thank YOU!

Oh my goodness--88 would keep me from making cards! We've been way too hot, but at least our heat pump has kept up comfortable. The first card is so cute and your floral card is beautiful!

I can see how your mercat in the ocean might have a cooling effect, in your mind anyway. She is gorgeous and I love your ocean. Your second card is so cheerful with that yellow. the embossed background softens it beautifully. great cards xx
