Today's card is very special.
I made it for my Dad and his new Bride to celebrate their wedding. With the world situation being what it is, we won't be there in person, but thanks to his bride Dianne, we'll be viewing the ceremony via the web.
This stamp comes from my bin of new stuff, and is from Stampin Up. The wedding colors are cream and purple. I did my best to match. The cake was stamped and colored with copics, then fussy cut. Pearls were added to the flower centers and some Spectrum clear glitter marker over the blooms. The cake was mounted on top of an embossed panel. The sentiment was heat embossed on vellum and added at an angle to accentuate the line of the cake top and flowers.
Hubs and I dressed in our wedding finery to "attend" the wedding.
So Congratulations to Dennis and Dianne, may your happiness and love today grow ever on.

That's a beautiful card! How cool that you could be together virtually! Hey did you decide to visit Paris while you were all decked out in your Sunday best? Or was that part of the Virtual background? We find our amusement in the little things these days, huh?

I knew this was one of your special cards at the very first glance. everything about it is perfect, but I particularly love that embossed background and lovely purple and green and what clever placement of the sentiment too. I do hope the wedding went/goes well and you get to feel a part of the proceedings xx
Lovely, lovely card Cat! Have to chuckle at the stamp set you used because when the SAB catalog came out this was my least favorite stamp set but ordered it anyway and I have used it more times than I can count now...for weddings and birthday cards!! Great picture of you and the hubs too...love the background!! :0)
