Painted Flowers

I resisted this set of stamps for quite a while, and after taking a recent class at Altenew Academy...I folded -- I bought them along with the matching dies.  I am so glad I picked up the dies.  Apparently I have difficulty composing my card just using the stamps.  I spent hours trying to make 1 card by stamping directly on the card front.  I put it all aside out of frustration.

A few hours later, I die cut 4 pieces of each die and decided to stamp on the die cut pieces instead.  Then it was easier for me to compose my clusters.  So out of 12 pieces, I got 3 cards.

I used the Altenew Inks in the mini cubes.  The sentiment on the first two is PTI, the last is WPLUS9. Sequins are from PPP and A MUSE.

My ink blending on the third card is done with the clarity brushes, it is so much easier to get that light barely color touched bit of color with the brushes.

And I will leave you with a tip for the day.  I used to cut off the die cut parts on fun foam so I would have clean edges for future cuts. I don't anymore.  I use them as mounting foam under full page panels. This one went on card #2.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

These are lovely, Cat! One of my very favorite flowers - they always look so good! I love each of these, couldn't pick a fave, so pinned them all!

Oh I'm even happy you got the dies! Look at all the gorgeousness here! [you will see me using them in a few weeks for CTS - without dies, and in almost the same color!!! - great minds?] xx

Fabulous cards! I too find working with the die cuts makes arranging easier. Tho I have managed a couple without for one layer cards. Love the subtle effect of the inking using the brushes. I find using a large round paint brush, a #10 I believe, gives me the same effect. Thanks for sharing. Hugs

I love this stamp set, and you have done an amazing job with it, Cat! Worth your frustration, because your flowers and leaves are gorgeous, and I love your choice of sentiments!
Thanks so much for the tip...I've been doing that all wrong :)

Beautiful! A whole slew of gorgeous cards, and you had trouble? Can't tell by what I see -- although I do relate to the trouble lining up those layered flowers...

These cards are so beautiful and totally professional looking! I love love the clusters of flowers, and the different layouts. That is a good tip about the fun foam :)

I forgot about that clarity brush! The result you got with it is really really pretty! I need to get that on my wish list.

All 3 are beautiful. I love the colors that you chose. Aren't those clarity brushes amazing?!? I always struggle with having a heavy hand when ink blending until I was introduced to those brushes. They leave the perfect amount of color every time. I really like the way the black looks
