Flurry of Thanks

Hello 2016!  Tonight I worked on a new blog header, I wanted some thing a bit cleaner.  I played in Photoshop, and then asked hubs his opinion...he made a few suggestions and I incorporated them. I value his opinion, he has a good eye for balance.

After almost a month of no crafting, I needed to make some thank you's. I wasn't sure where to start, so I opened the January Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.  I haven't purchased on for quite a while, but I fell in love with the colors and images of  this set a few weeks ago.  Tonight...I had no idea where to begin.  I didn't just want to case the samples.   It's a start...(I think I probably just want to color and that's why I had a tough time getting going!)

Here are 4 of the cards I made with the kit.

Last spring we had to have a few trees removed from the back yard; they were leaning precariously and hubs feared they might fall unexpectedly in a heavy rain.  As one looked to be headed towards my crafty space, I was glad he got it done.

The wood piece above, was a slice from one of the trees.  Hubs had it leveled, and sealed for me as a Christmas gift.  He knows I was tired of using paper as my photo base on cards.  I got a marble piece this fall, and I am thrilled to have this nice wood piece too.(Thank you hon!)  Now I have two to choose from!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I feel ya, sister. December is such a dry month for cardmaking and I still haven't brushed off all my rust yet. But it looks like you're going to it with alacrity! Gorgeous line-up of cards!
