Birthday

I am back from my trip to California to visit my Dad and do a bit of cat-sitting while he visited his sister in Iowa.  He returned in time to celebrate his birthday and of course I made a couple of cards for him. One from the boys and one from me.

My Dad puts the cards I make up on the fridge.  I find it ironic and funny. While I was growing up nothing went on the fridge-not even a magnet, but I suspect that was my Mom's preference.

On to the cards...

Thanks for stopping by!

LOVE both of these cards. On the first one, it looks like the sky is peeling away to show the sun. The second one is clean and crisp in contrast. Great colors. Isn't it fun to create in different styles?

That's too funny about putting things on the fridge. Yeah, I suspect it was your Mom's rule. Our fridge growing up was always covered in kid art and Dr appt cards. Now mine is nekkid, and I like it like that. :)

Glad you're home safe & sound! Oh these are so neat, Cat! Beautiful watercoloring & the kitty card is just darling! How funny that your dad puts the cards on the fridge when that was a no-no for you growing up!

Aww, Cat, what darling cards for your dad. I'm sure he loved receiving them. And, how wonderful that you were there to celebrate his birthday with him.

How sweet that your dad puts your cards on his fridge.
Your FUN story made me smile.

ooooooooooooooh! very cool! i love the super-watercolory one, especially, but they are both awesome! (& obviously the cats will only send a card that features CATS... or possibly mice & cheese, but that'd be more to each other i spose lol!) :) :) :)
