I decided to go with the theme of Easter this time. I gathered my supplies - a new Easter word die from Simon Says Stamp, a sentiment also from SSS, some enamel dots, a Stampin Up tulip stamp, my distress markers, Stampin UP card stock and a piece of Bristol paper.
I stamped and colored my image using the distress markers, a fine tipped brush and a small bit of water. I wanted the colors to be stronger rather than pale. After I colored the tulips, I colored the die in a gradient of worn lipstick. Wink of Stella was added to the die and the tulips. I added some random pale pink enamel dots, because too much white space makes me itch. My main panel was mounted on a SU Regal Rose card base.
Thanks for stopping by.

Very pretty, Cat! I giggled when reading your "itch"-y comment. :) It IS hard not to add a bit of something in the white space.
The card is even prettier in person, I love all the shimmer!!! Thanks again Cat!!!
Lovely, Cat, and I really love the wonderful script of the die!
Oh what a beauty, Cat! Thinking I "need" that word die!
The way you did the sentiment die cut is just perfect!
Gorgeous Easter card, Cat! Your tulips are so pretty, and I love the gradient of pink on the sentiment! Love the soft pink enamel dots, too!
Beautiful card, Cat! I hope your Easter was wonderful!
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers, Cat. Mine have popped through, but not blooming yet... anything blooming in your neck o' the woods?
