Snow-family

 Hi there-

This  is likely my last post for the year, except for Christmas Day.  I am going to make soups, bake, watch movies, and nap. We are usually travelling to see family this time of year and are busy.  Since this is what we are handed this year, I am going to enjoy the slower pace.

I bought this snow-family stamp last year and I just love it.  Hard not to love a snowman stamp. They remind me of fun times as a child playing in snow before we moved to Southern California. Snow is still magical to me.

I stamped on mix media paper and used Arteza real brush pens along with a water brush.  The color did not move well, until I added water first to the paper then dabbed on the color from the marker. I thought the mixed media paper might react like Bristol, but no. Still it worked out.  I'm not sure what occasion I'll be using this for, so for the moment it has no sentiment.

I'm betting your Dad is going to be so sad about not seeing you at Christmas - your friend, too. But I'll be very happy knowing you and your sweetie will be home, safe, and sound!
I adore your snow family, Cat. So sweet, and beautifully colored! If I were to write a sentiment for this it would be: 'There's SNOW family like ours... even though we've DRIFTED apart!'
Merry Christmas sweet friend!

This is a sweet card and I agree about snowmen! Hoping your next few weeks are filled with contentment as you make the best of the situation we are finding ourselves. See you in 2021... and how happy we will be to welcome a New Year!

Wow--what a wonderful card, Cat! Your coloring is amazing, so it sure did work out! Since we get very little snow, it's always a treat to me--especially since I'm retired & not worried about getting to & from work! Wishing you & hubs a wonderfully relaxing, peaceful holiday with hope for 2021! Hugs, Greta

That's the cutest little snow family! Your coloring turned out great after all. In most parts of the US there will be snow around for quite a while, so you'll have plenty of time and opportunity to send this card. It's so adorable! I like your idea of kicking back, doing holiday things. I'm planning the same and probably won't blog. Not sure yet. Playing it by ear. Happy holidays, Cat!
