Muse 273

Hi there  ~

It always bugs me when I miss out on playing with Muse.  I woke up this morning and knew I had a couple of hours before the link closed.

I pretty much cased Anita's lovely card, but I inverted the black and white.  It was an experiment and I wanted to see how those distress oxide inks would work on black cardstock.

I thought the colors did well on the black cardstock.  Its a bit dramatic, and I have to confess that I like the Muse much better - its cleaner, brighter and more summery.   I do not regret testing my idea though!

Anita's Card is below.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love the way you have reversed the black and white and made such a pretty striking card.

I actually like the black background better, Cat - it's so much more dramatic and eye-catching!

oh wow, you put the oxides right ON the black and they really do still show up brilliantly (in every sense, lol!) and as always i'm impressed with how incredibly you can rock ONE LAYER>>> ♥!

I'd call your experiment a success. Loving your creative interpretation of Anita's Muse card. The final effect is stunning.

Ooooh, Cat, this is lovely. What an inspired interpretation. Loving the white silhouette and it's great to see how well these inks blend on black, must give that a try. Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x

What a difference inverting the black and white makes, Cat ... this is so bold and striking ... the blending is gorgeous against the dark base! Hugs, Anita :)

Anita's is beautiful & similar to one of my go-to card designs, but I really like the oxides blended on the black--need to try that!
