 Hello--

Today I played with new things.

I splurged on the Distress watercolor crayons, and in a word...LOVE them. Actual watercolor paints and I have a fantasy relationship. I think I can use them to color, but the results always disappoint me. I don't seem to get that translucent feel I'm looking for.  So I am going to stick with moveable ink type colors and these lovely crayons.

I have a card for We Love Stamping- Anything Goes and The Flower Challenge add some sparkle.

My sparkle comes by way of goldenrod colored gems added to the image.  I am pleased with the way I was able to play with the watercolor crayons, it was quite fun and relaxing and I did enjoy every moment.

Please share our challenge logo

Thanks so very much for visiting.

Wow, thanks for your input on the crayons. I have wondered. I have the SU Watercolor Wonder Crayons (old) and I like them most of the time. They are a little different from paints or inks for watercolor. Your coloring is absolutely beautiful on this, Cat!

Your card is beautiful Cat and such soft delicate blooms.

Like you I splurged and am really liking the new pencils, as a non colourist I am really pleased with their blendability.

Many thanks for sharing with us at We Love Stamping challenge.

I think you were lucky to get your hands on those new watercolour pencils as they seem to be sold out everywhere here. I am really glad that you are pleased with them. I love the effect you have created with them on the background of this card and how you have kept the colours soft and muted xx

I'm resisting an additional water coloring medium - for now! But really enjoy your first endeavor - right out of the gate you seem to have mastered them, Cat!

You've found your perfect watercolor medium! This is pretty, and it's your first from the crayons? Awesome. I too have a tough relationship with water coloring mediums, so I'm going to tuck this into my hat!
