 Greetings:

I have a card for three challenges. Can you Handle the Pressure, Seize the Birthday, The Male Room Challenge.

These are all bits from my box of stuff.  My SU demonstrator always sends samples of the new color cardstock and impressions of the new embossing folders.  I have saved these for years.  She will also send samples of punches.  So in my box of goodies I found a punched piece and an embossed piece.  I sorted through my stamps for the sentiment.

The pup is mounted on foam tape, and I used the wide sentiment strip to give him some grounding.

Hello-

Its been a very long time since I posted with any regularity.  I finally unpacked my crafty boxes…all 45.  The crafty space is not photo sharing ready…that will take a few more months.  But for now, everything has a place…I just need to remember where. LOL.

Along with our move to Ohio, my sweet crafty friend Peggy passed this month.  Its been tough.

On to happier things.  I was excited to see Michele’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I thought it would be a good one for me to dip my toes in as I get back into this wonderful hobby.

I made the sketch taller in my head while designing the card and kept the same elements along the right side.  These are all bits that were in various envelopes from goodies stamped and sent to me over the last decade.

It was a learning curve for sure.  Took me 3 hours to get this done...and I only stamped and cut the sentiments, and colored and fussy the image.  It took a while to feel comfy at my desk and then finding everything.  But, I did it I got a card made and will try another tomorrow and on from there.

Hopefully I can get back to my 30 minute cards, and find my light box!

6/25/24

 Hello--

Another bit of relief from the heat and I headed upstairs to make a card for my FIL to give to his golfing buddy for his milestone birthday next month.

The golf bag is from Whipper Snapper designs, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I used the swiss dots embossing folder to create my "golf ball" using the debossed side to mimic the ball dimples.  I added some texture with heat embossing on the card base.

This card will be visiting the gallery at Can you handle the pressure, with the optional theme of sports.

Thanks so much for visiting.

 Hello-

I needed a graduation card, and I have few things to make them.  So I went with something different and I love the card. I've mostly made masculine cards, but this one is quite girly.

I started with a die cut piece and the Darice EF with the mortarboards. I recently picked up SU's Dainty Delight stamp and die set.  I die cut in green one of the extras in the die set and stamped, colored and die cut the main sprig of blooms. One of the sentiments in the die set was stamped and die cut and popped into the top of the sprig. I added a second SU sentiment at the bottom of the card.

I am sending this off to: Can you handle the pressure  (Femine) and Tic Tac Toe. (left column)

Hi again!  I am back with a second card, which I put together very quickly.  The embossed panel is from Honey Bee - Snowy Pines, and the die with shadow is from Simon Says Stamp.

The team of Diane and Darlene have a slew of blogs and I had to make something quick for Can you handle the pressure...and I think it also fits for Word Power (their newest challenge all about the sentiment) and Peace on Earth...might as well start those cards for next Christmas.

Hi There-

I did conk out yeaterday around 6:30 pm post afternoon crafting.  After waking I was back in my crafty space.

We found out during a video chat that our nephew and his girlfriend became engaged. They are a sweet young couple. Two people who have goals and are hard working. They are so good together.  I needed to make a card to send them our congratulations and love.

I took inspiration from CAS on Friday asking for embossing and Can you handle the pressure which has an optional twist of birds/birdhouses.  The SU set sweet songbirds came out of the new bin to make this card:

First of the month and its time for the next calendar page. Thank you Bonnie for the calendar file.

 Hello -

Still at the crafty table.  There were three challenges that are calling for yellow - I could not pass up playing.

The yellow embossed panel was sent to me by Greta. I cut 3 white daisy stems to stack them. The sentiment is from MFT. I followed the color and sketch from Inspired By Challenge, The Floral component along with both heat and dry embossing from Can you Handle the Pressure, and yellow for Die Traumfabrik-Dream Factory .

 Happy Palm Sunday...

I have a card today for Just Add Ink. And since I used an embossing folder for the base, it will also visit Can you Handle the pressure -Easter.

Peggy sent me some die cuts, which I colored using the pouncing method with sponge tipped applicators.

I added some color to the bunny with copics, and colored the carrot and stems by pouncing on ink.  I cut an oval for a focal area, and embossed the base with a basket weave folder.

PS...

I am sure many of you have seen the "new" mushroom shaped sponge daubers out there...

I went to Amazon and searched mushroom shaped make up applicators and got some cute little ones for the more delicate stencils and dies.  No idea if they'd work well or not...but they were beautiful and fast in adding coverage. One can also find the big ones for more coverage.
