8-11-22

 Hello there-

The temps are starting to come down some, so I am spending more time upstairs. It seems the humidity seems to linger upstairs so even with the AC the stickiness bugs me and I tend to stay  downstairs where it is cooler.

Again I have two cards for you which were inspired by three challenges.  In order of challenge closing:

Less is More has a theme of Butterflies.  I hope just one will do... I used the sketch from Just Add Ink for the card design,

My second card goes to Double D Challenges with a Theme of Lighthouse.

Time to go make some food, thanks so very much for stopping by!

7-26-22

 Hello-

I finally found some energy and time to sit at my desk and make a couple of cards.  I am determined to keep to my 5 cards a month for Christmas.  These two will bring me current to 36 (1 extra, so I'll just need 4 next month).

Two challenges provided the inspiration for the cards, one Less is More - traditional Christmas, and Christmas Kickstart - snowfolk.

10-30-21-2

 Hello again,

One more card for the weekend.  When I saw Less is More's challenge this morning I knew exactly what my card would look like.  Yup another piece of that gorgeous SU flocked vellum was coming out to play.

Pretty Pink Posh's Scalloped Circle frame die cut three times to encircle the poinsettia. I added 3 pearls to the center and the sentiment (Merry Christmas) is white embossed on top of a piece of white cardstock wrapped around the card.  All this white was difficult to photograph. Reminds me how amazing our brains and eyesight really are. as its quite easy to see the sentiment IRL.

Thanks for visiting, especially if you did it twice in one day. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Christmas

 Hello -

I am woefully behind on Christmas cards, considering I wanted to make 5 each month.  Based on that count I am back in March...so with several Christmas challenges to play with this week, I am going to add to my small pile.

Five cards for five challenges. Each card goes to visit only one challenge.  In alpha order:

AAA Cards - Twinchie with option of Christmas

Addicted to CAS - Christmas

CAS Christmas- Poinsettia

Christmas Kickstart

Less is More - Christmas in July

And one more that I decided was not CAS and didn't fit any of the challenges.

Thanks so much for visiting.

With Sympathy

 Hello -

Hubs is working today so I had a little face time crafting with Peggy.  Three challenges caught my eye and I am completely out of sympathy cards.  I don't care to make them when needed, so I try to make a few when they run out.  My preferences are botanicals and monochromatic cards.

Each card is for a different challenge and I am showing them individually in order of challenge due dates.

Freshly Made Sketches gave us a square sketch.

I liked the roundish leaves as the focal point with all the geometric shapes surrounding them.

I chose the lower left to upper right diagonal - Diecuts, Twine, Bright Colors.

The Less is More challenge asks for ink blending.

I chose to use a similar shade to the watercolored leaves in a new stencil recently gifted to me by friend Hilary. The blending is deliberately in  an ombre fashion.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Enjoy your weekend.

Happy and Merry

 Hello-

A few more Christmas cards for a few challenges today.  This card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches and Inspired By Challenge.  When you see the challenge icons below I am sure you can see how this card came about.

I love some simple stamping and easy fussy cutting. It was a quick and fun card to make.

While those silly cute gnomes were still on my desk, one more go with some more traditional Christmas colors.

This one is going to  Less is More-One Layer Card, Festive.

Thanks for taking the time to visit during this busy time.

Peace

 Hello-

Today I had a wonderful tele crafting session with Peggy. She was a lot more efficient than I was.  But I do love the card I created.  It was inspired by Less is More (Red & Gold) and CASMix UP Card Challenge (Watercolor and off the edge.)

I started with Simon Says Stamps Center Cut Holiday Floral stamped and embossed in gold on cold press watercolor paper.  I used a red Karin marker and some red gold Gansai Tambi watercolor to selectively color in bits of the stamp which was stamped off the edge of the paper.  Once done, I fussy cut the bottom edge and mounted it to a red card base. I love the drama of the dark red and the lighter watercolored panel.

Thanks much for visiting!

Merry

Okay, bear with me one last post today. I had a fun few hours in my crafty space and had to share.

I'm closer to my 5 Christmas cards per month Goal now...these make the stash count 30.

Both Less is More and The Card Concept have Christmas themes this go round, and the colors at the card concept reminded me of my love of aqua/teal and red.  Its quite festive.  Less is More is asking for a one layer card...and there are two definitions...is it one layer meaning the card base (I went with this one  just in case) or one layer meaning its okay to have all your stamping on a single panel adhered to a card base.  What is your definition?

In any case here are my cards, one for each challenge using a new to me Avery Elle set.  It might be discontinued...I am not sure.

Peace is for Less is More, one layer.

Merry, is a clean and simple card for The Card Concept.

My words of advice if you get or have this and have  yet to ink it...stamp the word first then the greenery. Much easier to line them up.  My trash bin can attest to that fact.  Since its new to me, I am also going to pop over to NBUS#16 with both cards.

Thanks so much for visiting.
