 Hello-

I am wondering are strawberries a spring or summer fruit for those of you in the northern hemisphere?  Having lived so long in California, they are definitely spring for me. We have them in March, in Maryland we can pick them beginning in May which leans a bit towards summer in my mind (corrupted by those years in California when summer was May to October weather wise.)

None the less, since Summer doesn't officially start until late June, I think Strawberries will be perfect for the Spring challenge at Four Seasons.  I appreciate that the challenge gives a mood board (below) but doesn't require that you follow it.  I am also sending this to the gallery at Die Cut Diva's who has an anything goes theme this month.

I am using supplies from The Greetery, copics, inks and some white embossing of the Sugar Pea Designs Sentiment.  I made several of these cards, some on white and some on that pale yellow green cardbase. There is a little brass SU ladybug hiding near the blooms.

Thanks so much for visiting.

  1. It’s so odd now that we can have any fruit any time of year. i think strawberries are for summer but that is really because people like to have them and blueberries for the 4th of July! I LOVE your cards! I can’t decide if I like the crisp white background better of the super light yellowy green! Have a good weekend!

  8. For us strawberries come in June and I always associate them with my daughters birthday, but I think you are OK with spring. They look fantastic, good enough to eat in fact. It is a great idea to make several cards while you are about it. I think I like the one with the coloured background the best, it helps the strawberries pop. They are beautiful xx

  12. I love how your strawberries look and today it will get up to 91 degrees here in the Sacramento, CA valley, so summer has started.

  13. Strawberries in West Michigan are ready around the 2nd week of June, so not too much longer! It was such a rainy and cool weather pattern last year that the strawberry crop was not very good, so I'm definitely hoping for better this year!! All four of your cards are just lovely Cat, with beautiful coloring on all of them!! Hugs. :0)

  17. You've totally outdone yourself here, Cat! These cards are at the top of the charts, and I love each one of them with their slight variations. The ladybug is super cute, too. Sorry to be so late. Sometimes... well, you know how it goes.
