 Hey There -

I am still trying to play with new stuff, as my bin is beyond full.  Today, I took out The Greetery's Spring Mix stamp, stencil and dies to make cards.  My thoughts are if you are going to use a layered stencil you might as well stencil several while you have the inks and brushes out.

I'll be sending some of these cards to The Card Concept, The Sisterhood of Crafters, and Addicted to Stamps.  All are the same design, different card bases and differing sentiments.

After cutting the panel first, and then layering the inks on by stencil and blending brush, I tried one where I stenciled first then cut out the panel. I much preferred the stenciling then cutting approach.

Thanks much for visiting.

  1. That set makes fantastic cards, they are all wonderful but I think I am leaning towards the second as my favourite. I like the dark purple background. great work xx

  2. Oh, my goodness gracious! Each card looks so different simply because of the change of color in the card base. I had to do a double take to see that your inking was all the same. They're all absolutely lovely!

  8. Cat, I love your 'while I'm at it' theory! All three of your card bases are gorgeous with this delightful garden!
That stencil first, cut second is right up there with the 'measure twice, cut once' rule!
