Twofer Card Challenge 22 Holiday Greenery

Greetings,

The last Twofer Challenge for this year starts today, and Darnell has a twist for you all, and I bet you'll like it.

For this month only - She is suspending the requirement for two separate occasions.

That means if you'd like to you can make two cards for the same occasion.

Do you need to add to your Christmas card stash? This is a perfect opportunity to do that!  Of course if you love the challenge of two separate occasions you can still participate as we do all year long. It's your choice.

First I pick out my common element.
This is Wispy Pine Corner from Poppy Stamps.

Next a sketch of ideas---so I can see and
make sure that the designs are different.

Here are my cards together:

Can you see how the sketches transformed into the cards above?

And separately:
I went a bit unconventionally using that sprig on my first card.
Some trimming and lots of bling turned three corners into a Christmas Tree.

Its hard to see, but the white pieces have
been daubed with a frost shimmer stick.

Thanks so much for visiting, and I'd love to see you in the Twofer Gallery this month.

  1. Look at how you made a Christmas tree from that single branch, you clever girl! I love all the ornaments and the artsy mod feel of the design! Of course, I also love the corner branch used as corner branches, too, especially with that shade of blue and awesome sediment!! Hugs, Darnell

  3. I would have never seen the Christmas tree in Wispy Pine Corner die...you can bet I'll be turning all my dies this way and that to see what other images pop! You're such a clever girl!! Both of your designs are sweet, and I love that you share your sketches with us too. The greens and that blue are so pretty, perfectly highlighting that die. Great cards, Cat!! Sending hugs. Bev

  4. You are so clever. The little branch made a beautiful tree and I love how it was used on the other one too. The blue and white reminds me of the edges of a snowflake with that pretty white you used for the branch. These are both so gorgeous!

  9. Cat, that sprig made a gorgeous Christmas tree - and looks pretty gorgeous when you put it in the corner, too! Love the bling-y ornaments, and water-y wash of color on your tree card. I'll even have a blue Christmas card - you girls are really rubbing off on me! xx

  12. What a brilliant idea to turn the pine corner die cuts into a Christmas tree, Cat ... it's fabulous all 'decorated' against the soft inking ... I can almost see those delicate branches wafting! LOVE the crisp white on china blue ... it's stylish, elegant and so full of impact ... I'm imagining how delicious it must be with the frosty shimmer! Hugs, Anita :)
